WEYBURN - The Weyburn Comp Eagles senior football team was in Saskatoon on November 11 for the 5A Provincial gold medal match versus Bishop Mahoney.
“It was a great match up, as two tough teams spent the first half looking for weaknesses,” said head coach Jody Kerr.
“The Eagles battled hard and found themselves down 18-0 in the third quarter before a 15-0 run brought us within three. The comeback came up short and the clock ran out on us, and we came home with the silver medal.”
