The 2018/2019 school year starts on Tuesday, September 4, 2018, at 9:00 AM.

The transition to high school can be tough at times as both students and parents make adjustments to new teachers, classrooms, courses, and extra-curricular activities.听 In order to ease this transition we would like to invite all incoming grade 7 students and their parents/guardians to a new student orientation night on August 29, 2018.听 We鈥檒l begin at 7:00 P.M.听 There will be a tour of the school and a chance to meet the staff.听 We鈥檒l explain what middle years programming is all about, including things like our Response to Intervention program, school policies, and courses for middle years.听 We鈥檒l also get our new students into their lockers.听 Our new students can put their new supplies in their lockers at this time as well. Please DO NOT bring any fee money with you at this time.

Remember, the School Community Council meets every 2nd Wednesday of the month at 7:00 P.M. If you want to know what is going on at the school or have questions, please plan to attend.听 Your participation is necessary for our school success.

GFK is looking for a senior boys鈥� volleyball coach for the upcoming volleyball season in September. If you are interested in helping out with volleyball at any level, please contact the school.

ParenThe basketball season has now started and a busy season is ahead for the Sr. Boys. Practices run almost every Monday and Wednesday and tournaments are slotted in for Norquay, Stoughton, Estevan, Oxbow, Rocanville, Gravelbourg and Davidson. The completion of the season will be the SHSAA playoffs starting with Conferences in March and concluding with Hoopla on March 23rd and 24th!ts can contact the school for information about how to set up access.
