Dear Editor:
I'm sorry. Yes I'm sorry that we are now into an election yes the cost of an election is huge, I will not discuss politics but on the other hand, the monies being spent and our hard earned money is in a roundabout way and to top it all is the care of our loved ones. This past year the "Dollars Saved" where did they go? I've heard rumours a new nursing home is to be built east of my community. Why in this country must everything have to be NEW? I hate waste, I see it every day. There is no longer recycle, burn the paper my lord if you ever tried to grow a tree it takes a lifetime that it can produce shade, paper or even materials for humans, yet tear apart homes, nursing homes, schools, whatever happened to re-do without destroying?
Lock the door throw away the key. Everything in this country seems to have lost the goals of life. Freedom - someone always tying your hands especially to help care for your loved one close to home, even those who wish to sit in gov't wish to keep our rural freedom at bay. Happiness - Smiles, laughter, fine but, boy some days that's a hard one to keep, especially when illness, fire, water, can destroy so quickly.
Thank you Lord when the sun shines most everyone Smiles! Good Friday was "Earth Day," Save the earth; it gives us the food, so why destroy it.
Take a second, look at life, especially those that have such a control over us, think in our shoes, we are one small voice and no one is listening - quit destroying everything that the small centers, the rural people built up. Let us live in Happiness and Freedom; with our loved ones close by, and take into account someday it's our shoes you may be in and take it from me, second hand shoes don't fit, life has tighter fit, especially when there is no dollars and one of the things that we will all face very quickly is the cost to go anywhere on this land or any land around the world.
I'm not sorry I sat down this morning, pen in hand, because if you're reading this you have had some thoughts on what I have written about, in this life you are responsible on how things happen. Do something about it!
