Woodlawn Golf Course hosts annual Parent-Child tournament

The TS&M Woodlawn Golf Course held its annual Parent-Child golf tournament on Sunday.

ESTEVAN - One of the top junior golf tournaments of the year was held at the TS&M Woodlawn Golf Course on Sunday afternoon.

The 38th annual Parent-Child Tournament attracted 35 teams

The tournament uses the Rondeau scoring system, which has a handicap based on age. All the juniors received a trophy and lunch following play, thanks to the sponsors.

Charlotte Hoffort finished first in the Mother-Daughter Junior Division with a score of 59. Second place went to Ryley Istace with a 65 while Giona Fagerheim shot 68 to claim third place.

The Mother-Son Junior Division winner was Brexon Jesse with a score of 54.

Three-year-old Lila Donovan finished first in the Father-Daughter Junior Division with a score of 37, while Lucy Hoffort finished second with a 46. Third place went to Abby Jutras with a 52.

The final junior division was Father-Son, which continues to have the most entries with nine this year. First place was claimed by Brooks Cote with a score of 40. Second place went to Sutter Hoium, shooting a 45, while Greyson Schmollinger shot a 48 to finish third.

Mykenna Dreidger won the Father-Daughter Senior Division with a 38. Finishing second with a score of 40 was Cammy Henry, while Kiarra Biette was third with a 45.

There was a tie for first place in the Mother-Daughter Senior Division as Greycin Biette and Malina Stead both shot 57.

The Father-Son Senior Division also had the most entries for those 12 years and older. The champion was Boston Tait who shot the lowest score in the tournament with a 6-under par 30. Second place went to Jayden Chernoff with a 32 while third place was Ryan Chernoff with a 33.

The final group was the Mother-Son Senior Division with Kashton Jesse taking first place with a score of 48 while Donovan Dyer finished second with a 61.
