Weyburn's Airbourne Gymnastics athletes compete at Canmore

Airbourne Gymnastics just competed in their final competition of the season and their first out of province competition ever.

WEYBURN – Airbourne Gymnastics just competed in their final competition of the season and their first out of province competition ever.

The girls traveled to Canmore, Alta., for the Summit Invitational meet held from May 23-26.

Xcel Platinum athlete Jaycee Giroux placed second on Vault and Floor, first on Bars, and fifth All Around.

CCP7 Hannah Furgason earned the bronze medal on Vault and finished seventh All Around.

CCP7 Peyton Lokken made the Sask Summit team and competed with Team Sask at this meet. Peyton placed fourth on Vault and All Around, and earned the bronze medal on Bars. All three of the Airbourne athletes had their personal best scores of the season. 

The gymnastics club wanted to give a special thanks to Mal Barber and Barber Motors for sponsoring a portion of the van rental, making it possible for them to go on this trip.
