Two Weyburn women competed at the Saskatchewan Golf Association's Women's Amateur tournament, and two men entered the Men's Mid-Amateur, both of which were held at Golf Kenosee from July 13 to 16.
Elanne Krainyk shot a 369 and finished in 10th in the women's amateur. Krainyk opened with a 98, and followed that up with rounds of 89, 88 and 94. Ali Hilkewich finished in 11th with a 375 (97-99-87-92).
Rick Hallberg finished in a three-way tie for ninth in the men's mid-amateur. He shot an 82 and an 83 in the first two rounds, but boosted his finish with back-to-back rounds of 73.
Todd Gjevre shot a 325 (84-82-79-80) and finished in 33rd.
