Weyburn fares well at provincial gymnastic competition

Six members of the Weyburn Gymnastics Club competed at a provincial gymnastics competition at the Queen City Kinsmen in Regina from May 14 to 16.

Six members of the Weyburn Gymnastics Club competed at a provincial gymnastics competition at the Queen City Kinsmen in Regina from May 14 to 16.Sarah VanDeSype received a bronze medal on bars in the age 11 and 12 provincial level one category, earning seventh place overall.McKenzie Winter competed in the age 11 and 12 provincial level two category, receiving fifth place overall. In the same category, Carley Evans received bronze on vault and gold on floor, earning 11th place overall.In the age 13 provincial level two category Taylor Elmy earned a gold medal on floor and silver overall; Taylor Hembroff received bronze on floor and fifth place overall.Ashley Bell received silver on bars and floor, earning fourth place overall in the 14 years and up provincial level three category.Chelsey Erickson, provincial level four category, was unable to compete due to an injury.
