Weyburn Curling Club releases league schedule for coming season

The Weyburn Curling Club (WCC) released the 2023-24 season lineup of leagues, and the first curling week begins Oct. 30.

Curling leaues will get underway in Weyburn on Oct. 30, with a variety of leagues and opportunities for people to come out and play.

WEYBURN – The Weyburn Curling Club (WCC) released the 2023-24 season lineup of leagues.

Registration is open on the WCC website and in-person registration night will be held at the rink on Monday, Oct. 16 from 6-9 p.m. The full league schedule can be found at www.weyburncurlingclub.com, along with membership fee options.

A learn-to-curl session will be offered on Mondays at 4 p.m. for children in Grades 2 to 9. The fall session will run from Oct. 30 to Dec. 4, and the winter session runs from Jan. 8 to Feb. 12.

There will be an open league on Mondays at 7 p.m., and on Tuesdays, there is a drop-in curling time at 1 p.m., and a family and friends fun night at 7, with three-on-three games.

An open cash league is available on Wednesdays, which will be competitive with cash prizes. The seniors league is on Thursdays at 1 p.m. for all skill levels, and open curling is at 7 p.m. The farmers league is on Fridays at 1 p.m.

The WCC offers a large variety of leagues that accommodate a wide range of curlers. So, whether you’re a recreational player or someone competitive, if you’re six years old, 106 or somewhere in-between, the club is sure to have a league suitable for you.

The first curling week begins Oct. 30. Each curler participating in a league must be registered.
