The G.F. Kells Cougars senior volleyball team attended a tournament in Weyburn on Friday, Sept. 22, and Saturday, Sept. 23. Off to a rocky start on the Friday evening, the team finished fourth in their pool Saturday. They then went on a winning streak earning a spot after battling Caronport to reach the final against the Weyburn Eagles. The Cougars, who had lost to the Eagles on the Friday, were in the zone as they fought their way to win in two straight sets. The team hosts 3A Provincials this year in Carlyle/Oxbow and is looking for volunteers to help with the day. If interested contact Trent Johnson at the school – (306)453-2500.Â
