The Weyburn Curling Club will be hosting the SaskTel Â鶹ÊÓƵern Men's Tankard playdowns from Thursday, January 20 to Sunday, January 23.
There will be 16 southern Saskatchewan teams competing for a spot in the provincial Tankard men's championships, which will be held in North Battleford the following weekend. Five teams will advance from Weyburn to the provincial competition.
The first draw will begin at 1 p.m. on January 20, with the opening ceremonies taking place later that evening. The ceremonies will be followed by the second draw at 7 p.m.
There are three draws on Friday at 9 a.m., 3 and 7 p.m. Saturday will see four draws at 8:30 a.m., 12:30, 4:40 and 8:30 p.m., followed by presentations made to the A and B event winners.
There are two draws on Sunday at 9:30 a.m. and 2 p.m. The presentation to the C event winners will be made after the final draw.
Tickets are available at the door, with a day pass for $10, an event pass for $25 and the last draw for $5.
A luncheon is being held for the curlers on the 21st from 12:30 to 2 p.m. and the public is welcome to join them for $12.
