The Carlyle Cougars Atom team is looking forward to an exciting season. After a couple weeks practice league games started this past weekend.

The 2013/14 roster consists of about 16 players, evenly split between 1st and 2nd year recruits. The Atom team head coach is Brian Hagel, with Troy Turner & Todd Magotiaux assisting.

The season opener was at home on Saturday, November 2 against Carievale. The kids played hard and showed improvement with each period. Unfortunately, Carievale is one of the strongest teams and Carlyle suffered their first loss.

On Sunday, November 3, the Atom Cougars played in Oxbow against the Huskies. We had a stronger showing, with goals being scored by Kenna Hagel, Degan Galbraith (2) & Nate Robertson (2). Assists went to Coty Hofos (2) and Taryn Cappo (2). Our goalie, Zane Winter did an outstanding job facing quite a steady stream of shots & coming up with some spectacular saves. The end result was 15-5 for Oxbow.

This week the Atom Cougars play at home versus Arcola on Saturday, November 9th at 1:00pm, and again at home on Sunday against Alameda at 10am. GOOD LUCK TEAM!
