The first annual All Star Game for the Saskota Baseball League was held on Saturday, Aug. 18, at Kenosee. It was a 9 inning game that was supposed to see three top players of each team play. A few from the south division were unable to attend, so the three players from Wawota played for the south, though they are technically a team from the north.

The north team was made up of Ty Vargo (Kenosee), Levi Lawrence (Carlyle), Josh Hohn (Carlyle), Blaine Kovach (Kenosee), Cooper Ryan (Arcola), Riley Marshall (Arcola), Danny Rasmuson (Carlyle), Riley Singleton (Kenosee), Ramsey Trembley (Redvers), Cody Grimes (Arcola), Andrew Johnston (Redvers), and Colby Potapinski (Redvers).

The south team consisted of Jason Boyer (Carnduff), James Cameron (Oxbow), Devin Aspinoll (Estevan), Blair Beck (Carnduff), Remi Jackson (Wawota), Jordan Cooney (Oxbow), Evan Fleck (Lampman Cubs), Jayden Zim (Lampman Pirates), Derek Cooney (Oxbow), Blaine Lamontagne (Wawota), Mac Lamontagne (Wawota), and Jered Fornwald (Lampman Cubs).

After hard fought game play the north division was able to win the Saskota All Star Game. With no score until the bottom of the third when the north division was able to score a single run. The bottom of the fourth saw the north gain three more.

Up by four the south division answered scoring a run. This was all that they would be able to come away with. The north division answered with another run scored in the bottom of the fifth, while they scored another run in the bottom of the seventh.

Overall the north division walked away with a six to one win over the south division. It was a great game, which showcased much skill from the southeast.
