Assiniboia Curling Rink
Assiniboia Curling Club hosted the Scotties provincial tournament

ASSINIBOIA - Well, the 2022 Viterra Scotties are now history as the Penny Barker rink of Moose Jaw officially won their way to the Nationals in Thunder Bay, with a 7-5 victory over the previously undefeated Chelsea Carey rink.

Carey came through the A side of the draw while Barker came through the B, and defeated the Amber Holland rink in the semi-final. Good luck to Penny and her crew.

It was a great five days of shot making, with solid crowds despite a few twists and turns that the Local Committee were thrown in their preparation for this prestigious event. All in all, it came off without a hitch.

A big thanks goes out to all 12 rinks, the many fans from all over the province, the many volunteers, the fantastic sponsors, the great ice makers and staff, the Curlsask reps, and the dedicated efforts of the organizing group. The Curlsask people are already earmarking Assiniboia as a future host!!
