The Estevan peewee female Bulldogs were in Minot, N.D. this past weekend for the Minot Invitational Girls 12U "Ice Breaker" tournament.

The Bulldogs played very well, coming up just short of winning the tournament. They lost the A-side final to the Regina Wild in a game that needed a shootout to decide the winner.

Estevan led 2-0 after the two periods of play thanks to goals from Jenna Grube and Kailey McLellan.
The Wild battled back in the third with three goals to take a 3-2 lead, however the Bulldogs' Hannah Battersby tied it up with 3.7 seconds left with a blast from the blue line.

A five-minute overtime period was played, but the score remained knotted 3-3. The teams then engaged in a shootout where the Wild came out on top 1-0, securing first place in the A-side, while the Bulldogs took home second.
