Odessa takes crown for Borderline Ladies Fastball

The Odessa Country Steelers defeated the Ceylon Devils to win the Borderline Ladies Fastball League championship.

The Odessa Country Steelers won the league title for the Borderline Ladies Fastball League on Sunday, at the finals held in Pangman.

WEYBURN – The trophy weekend for the Borderline Ladies Fastball League was held over the weekend in Pangman, as they ended their 2023 season.

In the semi-final, Pangman played Ceylon, and Ceylon won to advance to the finals against the undefeated Odessa team.

In the final game, the Odessa Country Steelers defeated the Ceylon Devils to win the league championship.

The Most Valuable Player for the ladies league was Haley Verhelst of Ceylon.

The MVP Pitcher for the league was a tie between Danielle Clark of the Pangman Peaches, and Kelcie Ward of Ceylon.

Odessa’s team roster includes Kayla Wild, Nicole Labbie, Deanna Keller, Melissa Seitz, Alli Flaman, Brittany Miller, Kelsey Lang, Natasha Herold, Amber Lockert, Jamie Kress, Shelley Hoffart, Michelle Howe, Sara Albert, Jacklyn Pelzer, Crystal Petersen, Michelle Johnson, Brittney Mapes, Sandra Gaetz and coach Andres Perras.
