On Jan. 4 the Cougars opened the regular season with a 16-13 win over Kipling.
聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 It may be hard to believe with such a high scoring game that the defence wa at the forefront of the win, but it was. 聽Leading the tight, and stingy D from the blue line were Griffin 鈥淐oast to Coast鈥� Eaton and Nash 鈥淭he Flash鈥� Faber. 聽The duo layed it all out on the line and both finished just a fight shy of a Gordie Howe hat trick .
聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 In their hardest fought battle to date the offence kept rolling, and is leaving their opponents scratching their heads on how to stop it. Light and Puskas scored in bunches to keep their point streaks intact.
聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 The boys came out of the Christmas break, laced up their work boots, packed their lunch pails and got to work. It wasn鈥簍 always pretty, but the guys backed one another up and picked up each others slack when needed.
聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Coaches Chris, Joey, and Jeff proved this wasn鈥檛 their first rodeo and that they鈥檝e been down this road before. With well-orchestrated shift changes and line juggling,聽they had this nine-man unit running on all cylinders.
