The Moose Mountain Wado Kai Karate Club hosted the Manitoba Provincial tournament Saturday, April 30 in Carlyle-where they received the “Club Award” for the most points received during the tournament. Marlee Cormier of the Wado Kai club (pictured) was just one of the members who contributed to the event's success. Members of the Moose Mountain club also assisted with judging and scorekeeping, staffed the belt room and helped run the canteen, among other volunteer duties.“We're really proud of all of our members who came out and supported this provincial event,” says Sensei Kevin Dyck of Carlyle. “We were happy to host them here in Carlyle. And hopefully, things will work out so we can visit and compete in Manitoba next year.”
