The midget AA Apex Bruins got off to a good start in the second game of their series with Swift Current but couldn't maintain that momentum.

Down 1-0 in the league playoff series, the Bruins came out of the first period up two goals when they were on the road last Thursday night.

Klae Bayda started the scoring near the end of the first period firing an unassisted goal. Just a minute later Jake McMillen gave the Bruins a 2-0 lead heading into the second.

The Bruins stretched that lead to three goals four minutes into the second on a goal from Rhett Handley. Before the end of the second period, that lead would slip away.

Swift Current got a little from the Bruins to score their first goal, while the Bruins were a man down.
They would score twice more before the end of the frame and the teams were tied 3-3 going into the third. Nate Ferris was in goal for the Bruins, making 25 saves on the evening.

At the 15:53 mark of the third, the tie would be broken after the Bruins took another penalty and the Hurricanes capitalized on the man advantage.

In the remaining six minutes the Bruins couldn't tie the game.

The Bruins lost the series in two straight games, ending their season in the league quarter-finals.
