For the past 35 years, Manor has been home to a Professional Bull Riders (PBR) event. This year will see it come together once again and will be held on Saturday, June 19
PBR has grown as a sport over the years with it becoming a televised feature with events held across the United States, Canada, Mexico, Australia, and Brazil.
This event has become a draw to Manor over the years with residents of the area looking forward to it each year, while it has also drawn visitors from other communities to see what is considered the "toughest show on dirt."
Manor Fun Daze will not only enjoy the roughstock event, but the community gets involved completely. A pancake breakfast will be held in the morning, which will then be followed by highly anticipated parade. Last year floats included intricately thought up designs, such as a golf cart designed to look like Fred Flinstone's vehicle, while Fred and Wilma drove.
A slow pitch tournament will again be hosted throughout the day, while a beer gardens will open at 2 p.m. In addition to these activities a mechanical bull will be found on the rodeo grounds where people will be able to take the challenge of riding.
A barrel racing competition will be held at 2:30 p.m. on July 19 as an added plus for rodeo enthusiasts.
By 4 p.m. food will be served on the grounds with a BBQ Roast Beef supper on the menu.
Following supper the bulls and cowboys will be ready to go and the roughstock event will commence at 5:30 p.m. Attendees can expect to see the best bulls and riders take to the arena for a chance to win the prize money.
Sure to be entertaining the Manor Fun Daze will show community, while enjoying a show not for the faint of heart.
