The Manor Sr. Boys Volleyball team have been on a winning streak this season, earning first place at each tournament they’ve attended, including last weekend’s Arcola-Carlyle Sr Boys Tournament which hosted a large 12 team competition.                 The Arcola Sr. Boys and Carlyle Sr. Boys hosted a 12-team tournament on Friday, Oct. 30, and Saturday, Oct. 31.

Attending were Moosomin, Arcola, Kahkewistahaw, Lampman, Gladmar, Stoughton, Manor, Carlyle, Sturgis, Yellow Grass, NOEC, and Redvers.

The competition which included a six-team round robin in both Arcola and Carlyle resulted in a three-way tie at both schools. In Arcola, the Arcola Sr. Boys tied with Gladmar and Kahkewistahaw, but in counting sets for and against it was Gladmar and Kahkewistahaw who advanced to the playoff. In Carlyle another three-way tie resulted with Carlyle, Manor, and Sturgis awaiting the results of tallied sets for and against. Carlyle was unable to make it through, which saw Manor and Sturgis face off in a playoff match.

With Gladmar earning victory over Kahkewistahaw and Manor beating Sturgis, the ground was set for a final between Gladmar and Manor.

Gladmar, being tired from a three-set battle against Kahkewistahaw, went into the final gassed against Manor.

Manor has been having a great season, on a winning streak across the southeast, having earned first place at each tournament they’ve attended.

Regionals for all Sr. Boys teams are coming up on Saturday, Nov. 21, with hopes of continuing from there onto provincials.
