Try as they might, The Weyburn Red Wings' valiant effort in Wilcox came up a bit short, spoiling their attempt to take four games straight over the past ten days.

Notre Dame's Mitch Boucher opened the scoring early in the first period at the 6:48 mark and the two teams would trade goals back and forth until the final period to decide the outcome of Tuesday night's contest.

Not to be outdone, Weyburn's Shawn Cowie along with Drew George and Appleyard would answer back on the power play at the 17:44 mark of the second period to once again knot the game up at 2-2.

It would however be Norte Dame's turn to grab glory late in the third period when Richard Cameron would score the game-winning goal at the 12:08 mark of the final period leaving Weyburn on the hunt for the tying goal late in the frame.

This however was not to be, as Cameron would score an empty net goal at the 19:34 mark to seal the Wings' fate with a 4-2 loss.
