In a back and forth road game against the Notre Dame Hounds, Wings' Bruce Keegan opened the scoring at the 15:15 mark of the first period. Keegan took advantage of the Hounds on the power play with help from Dylan Coupal and Shawn Cowie.
Norte Dame would even the score with 9:31 remaining on the clock in the opening period when Patrick Thompson-Gale snuck the puck behind Wings' netminder Mitch Kilgore.
In what could be considered a relatively calm game, both teams tested the netminders who both stood tall in their respective nets throughout the remainder of the game. That is until overtime ended in a draw.
With a shootout looming coach McMillan sent Jesse Ross, Shawn Cowie, TJ Wees and Coltyn Sanderson to the line to shoot on Hounds netminder Russell Abbott.
Abbott stood tall in the net and turned away all who challenged him this evening.
It would be the Hounds fourth shooter, David Lerner who would spoil the Wings hopes of continuing its unbeaten streak. The final was 2-1 in the Hounds favour in a shoot out victory.
Wings trounce Broncos
Humboldt took only one penalty during Friday night's game, but that's all it took for the Wings to get onto the scoreboard. Weyburn's Jesse Ross would find the back of Humboldt's net on the power play with help from TJ Wees and Shawn Cowie at the 3:03 mark of the opening marker.
The Broncos would knot the game at one all just five minutes later when Jeremy Boyer's shot would get past the Wings' netminder at the 8:42 mark of the first period.
Weyburn's Scott Kirkham would score their second goal of the evening and what would end up being the game-wining goal with help from Coltyn Sanderson and Ross midway through the second period.
Weyburn's netminder Kilgore would face 28 shots on the evening and put on a stellar performance to shut down the Broncos for the rest of the evening.
The Wings would strike once more midway through the final period when Kyle Vogal would make the siren screech one last time at the 10:26 mark of the third period. Assists were awarded to Brayden Kmita and Kevin Mann. The 3-1 Wings victory took three hours and four minutes to complete although the Wings have found a way to play a disciplined, but determined game of hockey.

Friday, November 13 will see the LaRonge Ice Wolves in town to take on the Red Wings and then on Tuesday, November 16, the Millionaires will be in Weyburn at Crescent Point Place Arena.
