The Carlyle Novice Cougars (Chris) stormed into their home tournament on Dec 7-8 and came out with the A side Championship. The whole team played like a well oiled machine. With strong leadership from Light, Puskas, Eaton, and Faber, combined with some real gutsy character from everyone else. Not even the flu could stop them.Â
With timely scoring, a tight defense, mixed with goaltending that can only be described as a masterpiece from Nik ‘The Brickwall’ Brown. In this reporters opinion Nik could have stopped a train from crossing the goal line if it would have been asked of him.Â
On way to the championship the team went 5-0 with wins over Weyburn, Radville, Estevan, Esterhazy, and Whitewood.Â
A special thanks to our AP’s, Payton Faber and Jordan Hewitt. Great playing, great coaching, and a great time. Good work team!Â
