Μύ Μύ Μύ Μύ Μύ Μύ Μύ Μύ The Carlyle Legion hosted the Legion Provincial Playdowns between Friday, Jan. 20, and Sunday, Jan. 22.
ΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύ Attending the event, which included a menβs event, mixed event, and masterβs event drew teams from Oxbow, Moose Jaw, Nutana, Stoughton, Birch Hills, Wawota, Lampman, Star City/Grenfell, and Carlyle.
ΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύ The opening ceremonies were held on Friday, Jan. 20, at noon with a colour party marching the competitors into the curling rink. During the ceremonies local dignitaries also spoke including Carlyleβs Mayor Wayne Orsted and District Commander Roberta Taylor.
ΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύ Orsted welcomed everyone to the event and implored them to also have a look around town as they will enjoy all of the amenities Carlyle has to offer.
ΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύ Taylor thanked everyone for attending and officially opened the event.
ΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύ The ceremonies also saw Katie Wilson sing βO Canada,β before the event came under way.
ΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύ Action then took place Friday afternoon, for the day on Saturday, and early Sunday morning.
ΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύ Fun and competition were enjoyed throughout the weekend.
