The Bantam "AA" Crescent Point Energy Wings traveled to Moose Jaw to face the Warriors on December 18, 2010.

The CP Energy Wings had won three of the last four league games and rolled into town on a high note. That was not good news for the 11th place Warriors. Moose Jaw jumped out to an early lead when they opened the scoring in the first period. It looked like it could be the Warriors night but that would be the last time they would get on the score sheet. The CP Energy Wings controlled the game and directed 60-plus shots at the Warriors goalkeeper. If not for a great game by the Moose Jaw goalie, Weyburn could have scored 15 times but he couldn't stop all the shots and the final score ended up 7-1 for the CP Wings. With that much dominance it had to be a total team effort but a five-point night by Regan Nagy and a three-point night from Trey Tendler stood out.

On December 22, the CP Energy Wings stormed into Regina to take on the Hurricanes. After the dominant win in Moose Jaw a few nights earlier it seemed like Weyburn would have been a handful for the Hurricanes who find themselves below the Wings in the standings. The Hurricanes played a good game but it seemed like the Crescent Point Energy Wings wanted to be on holidays a little early.

It was one of those nights where nothing seemed to work right and the Hurricanes pulled out only their fifth win of the season. At the end of regulation time the Hurricanes were ahead 4-3. Nicholas Pouliot was involved in all of the scoring Weyburn did with one goal and two assists. This was the last game before the CP Energy Wings enjoyed their well deserved holidays.

Over the holidays, the CP Energy Wings were invited to the Greater Saskatoon Hockey League tournament. The tournament had 16 teams and is an invite only tournament to showcase some of the Bantam talent in Saskatchewan and Manitoba to WHL scouts.

The CP Energy Wings finished first in their pool and were not really tested along the way. They played three games and outscored their opponents 26-7.

The semi-final game was slated to be the game of the tournament. After regulation time and ten minutes of overtime, the GSHL first place Saskatoon Maniacs and the CP Energy Wings were all tied up at four. The shoot out was noted at 0-0 after six shooters when Nick Lenius of Weyburn finally broke the tie and sent the CP Energy Wings to the final against the Russel, MB Rams.

In the final, the CP Energy Wings jumped out to a large, early lead of 5-1 after two periods. The final score was Weyburn 6 and Russel 4 which made the CP Energy Wings the champions.

The tournament was a look at how good the CP Energy Wings can be and a sneak preview to the second half of the season and provincials.
