REGINA — The Saskatchewan Roughriders and the Canadian Football League have announced that the Grey Cup game in Regina is sold out.

It’s news that organizers of the 109th Grey Cup in Regina have been waiting to hear. All 33,000 seats at Mosaic Stadium have been sold out for the game on Nov. 20, with a kickoff time of 5 p.m. central time.

The slogan for this year’s game is “Bring It to the Heartland.” Throughout the Grey Cup week a number of attractions are planned for fans including the Grey Cup Festival from Nov. 15-20.

It includes family-friendly events, team parties, Riderville and a daily entertainment lineup. Attractions during the week include the NexGen Energy Street Festival and the Mosaic Village.

This is the fourth Grey Cup game to take place in Regina, but the first at the new Mosaic Stadium.

"The Grey Cup is more than a game – it’s about unity, strength and community,” said CFL Commissioner Randy Ambrosie in a statement. “It’s a shared legacy between our great game, our world-class players and our incredible fans, and we couldn’t be more excited to gather in a packed-to-the-brim Mosaic Stadium, to write the 109th chapter of this story together.”

“We have been absolutely floored by the support that we have received for the 109th Grey Cup in Saskatchewan,” said Roughriders president and CEO and Grey Cup Festival co-chair Craig Reynolds in a news release. “We are looking forward to hosting fans from across the country at Mosaic Stadium for the championship game, and thousands more for a once-in-a-life time celebration of Canadian football at our Grey Cup Festival.”
