Weyburn art lovers can vote in the People's Choice exhibition

Weyburn's 39th annual James Weir People’s Choice Exhibition opens for voting with 25 entries on Thursday, Jan. 5 at the Credit Union Spark Centre.

WEYBURN – The Weyburn Art Gallery will be home to the 39th annual James Weir People’s Choice Exhibition, which opens with 25 entries on Thursday, Jan. 5 at the Credit Union Spark Centre.

Voting opens the same day in person, and will soon be available online for art lovers outside of the Weyburn area.

The voting will run until March 17, and the reception and awards will be presented on March 23 at 7 p.m.

During the voting period, curator Regan Lanning will provide guided tours of the exhibit, with some school classes already booking in time. Anyone who would like a tour can call the front desk at the Spark Centre.

Lanning set the exhibit up on Wednesday, which was the deadline for entrants to get their works in for the contest.

There is no cost or registration to visit the Weyburn Art Gallery.
