The Weyburn Chamber of Commerce has announced the finalists for the 2010 WEYBEX Awards.
The Chamber presents awards in six categories, and the finalists are:
Business Leader of the Year: Owners of Minard's Leisure World Gene and Susan Minard and Weyburn Co-op General Manager Don Kraft.
Golden Service: Canadian Tire and Superior Office Products.
Community Involvement: United Centrifuge and A&W Restaurant.
New or Expanded Business: Canalta Hotels and Â鶹ÊÓƵern Industrial and Truck.
Business Hall of Fame: Aldon Oils; Barber Motors; Terry's Cycle; and Weyburn Review.
Business of the Year: selected from the winners of Golden Service, Community Involvement and New or Expanded Business.
The WEYBEX Awards Banquet will take place on Friday, June 11 at McKenna Hall. Tickets are on sale and are available from the Chamber office.
"The Weyburn Chamber of Commerce presents the WEYBEX Awards bi-annually to celebrate business excellence in our community," said Manager Jeff Richards.
Richards encouraged those interested to get their tickets to this event early as they usually sell-out quickly.
