The Carlyle RCMP deatchment received 48 calls to service between Friday, March 13 and Thursday, March 19.
ÌýÌýÌýÌý 911 calls
ÌýÌýÌýÌý Carlyle RCMP received numerous calls regarding a child custody issue in the Carlyle area. Members attended and determined that the process is currently before the courts and is a civil, rather than criminal, matter.
ÌýÌýÌýÌý False alarm
ÌýÌýÌýÌý An alarm was set off in Carlyle, but RCMP found doors secured and no signs of a disturbance and/or entry into the building.
ÌýÌýÌýÌý Alcohol-related offences
    Carlyle RCMP responded to a report of an intoxicated male staggering on a road west of Manor. Members located the individual and brought him to the Ramada Inn in Carlyle. Upon arrival, the individual informed police that he intended to drive to Wynyard. Members then lodged him in cells for his own safety, to be released when sober.
ÌýÌýÌýÌý Near Redvers, a 22-year-old male received a three-day driver's licence suspension, due to an alcohol-related offence. A 28-year-old male received a $360 fine for having open liquor in a motor vehicle in Carlyle. In Arcola, a 23-year-old male was also fined $360 for having open liquor in a vehicle.
ÌýÌýÌýÌý RCMP members responded to a report of a possibly-impaired driver in the Carlyle area. However, police were unable to locate the vehicle in question. In a separate incident, members also responded to a report of a possibly-impaired driver in Arcola. However, they could not locate the individual or the vehicle during their patrols.
ÌýÌýÌýÌý Assault
ÌýÌýÌýÌý A reported assault near Manor is still under investigation by the RCMP.
ÌýÌýÌýÌý The Carlyle RCMP detachment received a report of an assault with a weapon that occurred near Estevan. As a result, a 53-year-old male from Grandora, Sask. was charged.
ÌýÌýÌýÌý Assistance
ÌýÌýÌýÌý Carlyle RCMP received a third-party report from the Kisbey area concerning a child's welfare. The police contacted the child's mother, and they are working to resolve the situation.
ÌýÌýÌýÌý In Kisbey, police were called regarding an individual under the Mental Health Act. Members spoke to the person and the situation was resolved.
ÌýÌýÌýÌý RCMP received a request to locate an individual in the Kisbey area.
ÌýÌýÌýÌý Members served a summons as requested by the Weyburn Police Service.
ÌýÌýÌýÌý Carlyle RCMP attended to a domestic situation and determined that it was a civil matter. They advised the parties involved to contact their lawyers.
ÌýÌýÌýÌý Fingerprints were taken from an individual for immigration purposes.
    In Carlyle, an RCMP member located an airsoft gun and brought it in to the detachment to be claimed.
ÌýÌýÌýÌý Breach of the peace/Disturbing the Peace
ÌýÌýÌýÌý Â A report of a breach of the peace from the Alida area resulted in members not having to attend, as one of the parties involved removed themselves from the situation voluntarily.
ÌýÌýÌýÌý In Carlyle, a report of disturbing the peace was determined to be a domestic argument. One of the parties involved left the residence voluntarily, and no one involved wished to cooperate with police.
ÌýÌýÌýÌý Fraud
ÌýÌýÌýÌý RCMP received a report from Redvers of an attempt to defraud an individual using the internet.
ÌýÌýÌýÌý Harassment
ÌýÌýÌýÌý In Wawota, a harassment complaint is still under investigation by the RCMP.
ÌýÌýÌýÌý Members are still investigating a report of harassing phone calls in the Carlyle area.
ÌýÌýÌýÌý Mischief
ÌýÌýÌýÌý Members responded to a report of a 16-year-old male breaking into a building in the Carlyle area. Upon investigation, the young man was found to be suffering from hypothermia, and was simply looking for a place to shelter himself from the cold. He was transported to hospital in Arcola and no charges were laid.
ÌýÌýÌýÌý RCMP responded to a report of mischief in the Carlyle area. An individual was found to be heavily-intoxicated and trying to fight. The complainant did not want to press charges, however.
ÌýÌýÌýÌý Police responded to another report of mischief from the Carlyle area. Children were reported to be on the roof of a building. Members patrolled the area, but did not find them.
ÌýÌýÌýÌý Sexual assault
ÌýÌýÌýÌý The Carlyle RCMP detachment received a report of a sexual assault in the Fort Qu'Appelle area. As a result, a 53-year-old male has been charged.
ÌýÌýÌýÌý Traffic infractions
ÌýÌýÌýÌý A single-vehicle rollover on Hwy 13 near Forget is still under investigation by the RCMP. EMS attended, and the driver was transported to Weyburn Hospital.
ÌýÌýÌýÌý A 25-year-old male driver was charged with undue care and attention as a result of a single-vehicle accident on Hwy 9, near Kenosee Lake.
ÌýÌýÌýÌý RCMP are investigating a report of failure to remain at the scene of an accident in the Carlyle area, involving a 16-year-old male who was taken to Arcola Hospital following the incident.
ÌýÌýÌýÌý A single-vehicle accident which occurred in the Carlyle area is still under investigation.
ÌýÌýÌýÌý In Wawota, a 16-year-old male was fined $580 for operating an unregistered motor vehicle, $175 for displaying an unauthorized licence plate, and $150 for driving with a learner's permit without a qualified driver.
ÌýÌýÌýÌý On Hwy 13 near Forget, a vehicle's undercarriage was damaged after the driver hit a rock. As a result, the vehicle had to be towed.
ÌýÌýÌýÌý Members responded to the report of an erratic driver on Hwy 13 near Carlyle. However, the complainant declined to pursue charges.
ÌýÌýÌýÌý Two individuals were fined for speeding through consruction zones. Near Carlyle, a 24-year-old male received a $440 fine, and near Redvers, a 17-year-old female was fined $340. A 45-year-old male was fined $206, a 39-year-old male was fined $139, and a 24-year-old-male was fined $135, all for speeding.
ÌýÌýÌýÌý Near Carlyle, a 44-year-old male received a written warning, requiring him to have a light vehicle inspection done.
ÌýÌýÌýÌý On Hwy 33 near Stoughton, an individual received a warning for speeding.
ÌýÌýÌýÌý Theft
ÌýÌýÌýÌý The reported theft of a vehicle near Kisbey is still under investigation by the RCMP. In a separate incident, the report of the theft of a truck in the Carlyle area is also still under investigation-although the vehicle has been recovered.
ÌýÌýÌýÌý Uttering threats
ÌýÌýÌýÌý RCMP are still investigating an incidence of uttering threats in Carlyle. In a separate incident, after a report of uttering threats in the Carlyle area, the complainant declined to pursue charges.
