I鈥檇 hate to see repeat offenders be ticketed even before they have their driver鈥檚 licences. Follow the Traffic Safety Act and talk to your kids about how to properly ride their bike around town.鈥
听听听听听听听听听听听 The Carlyle detachment of the RCMP responded to a variety of calls between Thursday, April 26, and the morning of Thursday, May 3.
911 calls
听听听听听听听听听听听 Listed here are 911 calls that are not associated with another file.
听听听听听听听听听听听 A child called 911 from an unregistered cell phone. RCMP were unable to locate the child, but knew it originated in Carlyle. Patrols were made, but I didn鈥檛 appear anything was out of sorts and the child didn鈥檛 seem distressed on the phone.
Assault
听听听听听听听听听听听 There was an assault reported in the Manor area. The witness of the assault did not get the licence plate of the vehicle that drove away from the scene.
听听听听听听听听听听听 An assault in the Kisbey area was determined to be unfounded.
听听听听听听听听听听听 An investigation into an assault in the Carlyle area is being conducted. Two individuals were lodged in cells for the evening.
Assistance
听听听听听听听听听听听 RCMP assisted EMS on a call with a patient.
听听听听听听听听听听听 Members offered advice and support for someone possibly leaving a violent relationship.
听听听听听听听听听听听 Assistance was given to the Carlyle Fire Department with a fire in the Carlyle area; members also assisted with a fire in the Manor area.
听听听听听听听听听听听 There was an abandoned car reported for blocking access to the complainants property.
听听听听听听听听听听听 A child welfare file in the Carlyle area was opened.
听听听听听听听听听听听 There was a well-being check completed.
听听听听听听听听听听听 A spike on a highway was removed.
听听听听听听听听听听听 An off-duty member observed a person removing remnants of road kill from a highway. It was partially frozen to the ground. Members have decided to send the individual a small gift.
Failure to comply
听听听听听听听听听听听 An investigation was conducted regarding an individual reportedly failing to comply with their release conditions. This was determined to be false.
听听听听听听听听听听听 There鈥檚 an investigation into an individual for breaching their conditions by contacting an individual they are not to be in contact with and is allegedly harassing them.
False alarm
听听听听听听听听听听听 There was a false alarm in the Carlyle area.
Fraud
听听听听听听听听听听听 There was a report of fraud was determined to be a civil matter 鈥 buyer beware.
听听听听听听听听听听听 A fraudulent email scam saying they are with Revenue Canada and you will be arrested if you don鈥檛 pay is once again quite prevalent. This is not how Revenue Canada conducts themselves.
听听听听听听听听听听听 An individual reported a fraud where they sent money down to the United States for a rental site, but never received the rental. Again this is considered a buyer beware situation.
Alcohol related offences
听听听听听听听听听听听 An impaired driver was reported in the Carlyle area. RCMP located the individual and arrested them. Their screening test showed a blood alcohol content of 200 mg and 210 mg.
听听听听听听听听听听听 Youth were reported to be drinking while walking up and down streets in the Carlyle area. RCMP were unable to locate them.
听听听听听听听听听听听 An intoxicated individual was reported for causing problems at a residence.
听听听听听听听听听听听 There was a family member that damaged property at a residence, which is under investigation.
听听听听听听听听听听听 Intoxicated individuals were reported for causing property damage in the Carlyle area. The caller was not willing to cooperate.
听听听听听听听听听听听 Two intoxicated individuals were reported at a residence: one drove away impaired prior to police arrival and the other was transported to hospital for treatment.
听听听听听听听听听听听 There were two intoxicated individuals that were causing issues: one was given a ride to another residence and the other was arrested and lodged until sober.
Driving infractions
听听听听听听听听听听听 Two tickets for uninsured motor vehicles ($580) were issued.
听听听听听听听听听听听 Two were stopped for intersection related issues: one was given a warning and the other was given a ticket ($230).
听听听听听听听听听听听 Approximately 30 drivers were stopped for speeding: half of those were given warnings, while the other half were fined. One was stopped for speeding and given a warning as well as warnings for not having their driver鈥檚 licence on them and for inadequate mirrors.
听听听听听听听听听听听 The top fine for speeding was for $218. This individual was also given a warning for excessive damage to their windshield. The two other highest fines for speeding were for $174.
听听听听听听听听听听听 Six people were fined $175 each for failing to wear their seatbelt.
听听听听听听听听听听听 A semi-driver was stopped for not having an up-to-date log book as well as for weight and dimension regulations.
听听听听听听听听听听听 Inspection tickets were issued for obstructed licence plates; licence plates on the wrong vehicle; inadequate muffler, taillights, daytime running lights, headlamps, obstructed windshield, and window tint.
听听听听听听听听听听听 Tickets were issued to people failing to produce their registration ($100) and another for an unsecure load ($175).
听听听听听听听听听听听 An erratic driver was reported in the Kenosee area and is under investigation.
Theft
听听听听听听听听听听听 An X-Box was taken. It was later returned. This occurred in the Carlyle area.
听听听听听听听听听听听 There is an investigation into an ex-employee stealing fuel.
Information
听听听听听听听听听听听 RCMP received information regarding the trafficking of drugs in Redvers, however, the information was limited.
Mischief
听听听听听听听听听听听 An individual was reportedly knocking over garbage cans in Wawota. This matter is under investigation.
Uttering threats
听听听听听听听听听听听 An unsubstantiated claim in the Carlyle area was reported.
听听听听听听听听听听听 There is an instance of uttering threats currently under investigation.
