ΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύ An individual was charged for misusing the 911 emergency phone number after two officers were sent to a home in the detachment area as the result of a request relayed via 911.

ΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύ Carlyle RCMP members assisted local EMS with an injured and intoxicated individual.
ΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύ Alcohol-related offences
ΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύ Carlyle RCMP responded to a call in which intoxicated individuals had damaged property at a residence. Constable Steven Sharpen says: βIf you're drunk, just get home safely and don't cause problems. So many of these incidents escalate when alcohol is involved.β
ΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύ A driver received a roadside suspension for driving under the influence of alcohol after being initially stopped for speeding by police. This motorist's vehicle was also towed.
ΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύ A minor was fined $360 and will appear in court regarding an offence under the Liquor Act.
ΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύ RCMP responded to a call reporting an impaired driver.

ΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύ After being called to an assault involving two adult siblings, police referred members of the family to local counsellors and suggested one family member contact Social Services.
ΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύ Police are investigating an assault involving a male and a female. The male was arrested and lodged in cells. This person also has an outstanding warrant.
ΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύ Collisions/Traffic violations
ΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύ The driver of a truck pulling a trailer was uninjured after his vehicle jack-knifed and landed in the ditch as the result of attempting to avoid a collision with a moose. This driver was uninjured, as airbags were deployed.
ΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύ RCMP responded to a call from a concerned citizen who had narrowly avoided an accident with another driver. The caller was concerned that the other motorist had suffered an epileptic seizure while driving. Members located the driver concerned and found that this individual was driving without a licence. They continue to investigate.
ΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύ An individual was charged with driving with undue care and attention.
ΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύ An motorist will appear in court for driving while disqualified. This motorist was stopped by police on Hwy 9 south, near Carlyle.
ΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύ Members issued several speeding tickets throughout this period, with fines reaching $344.
ΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύ Drivers from throughout the detachment area were fined or given warnings for not stopping at posted intersections. The fine for this offence is $230.
ΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύ Several individuals were found to be operating uninsured motor vehicles. The fine for this offence is $580.
ΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύ Several vehicles have received inspection tickets and/or warnings for operating motor vehicles with inadequate headlamps, improper window tint and obstructed licence plates.

ΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύ RCMP discovered an individual selling illegal drugs when they responded to the report of a fight. This incident is still under investigation.
ΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύ Firearm Amnesty
ΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύ Members picked up a firearm at an area residence at the request of the owner of the gun. When police arrived, they found the gun and ammunition was not stored safely. Police remind gun owners to store their firearms safely.
ΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύ Harassing communications
ΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύ RCMP spoke to three people regarding a situation involving unwanted text messages and unwelcome contact via social media. Constable Sharpen of the Carlyle detachment says: βIf you're receiving messages you don't want, the first step is to block that person and remove them from your social media accounts, such as Facebook.β

ΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύ RCMP provided assistance to an individual under the Mental Health Act.

ΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύ Two individuals within the detachment area were warned as the result of repeated violations of a no-contact order.

ΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύ An individual was charged with shoplifting after stealing meat from a Carlyle grocery store with the intention of selling it. RCMP are still investigating.
ΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύ The theft of a set of golf clubs from a shed was reported to RCMP.
ΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύ A break and enter from an area residence in which items were taken from a garage is still under investigation by RCMP.
ΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύ Trespassing
ΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύ Members responded to a report of trespassing at a facility in the Carlyle area. Police investigated and found a male had entered the property and was found to be doing his laundry. No charges were laid.
ΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύ Uttering threats
ΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύ While responding to a 911 call from within the detachment area regarding threats being made via Facebook, members of the RCMP came upon intoxicated individuals and a possible assault.While attending to this matter, one member of the RCMP was attacked by a dog. No charges have been laid at this point, but this matter remains under investigation.
