The Carlyle RCMP detachment responded to a variety of calls between Thursday, March 15, and the morning of Thursday, March 22.
911 call
           A 911 hang-up call was followed up. Those calling were attempting to call an ambulance for transportation needs.
Animal call
           RCMP were notified by a woman about a stray dog that had been around her home for four or five days. She was worried the animal might attack her; so police advised her they would keep an eye out for the animal.
Assault
           There was an argument in the Kisbey area, which was reported through 911. Members attended and determined the assault call was unfounded. Assistance was provided to resolve the issue.
           A domestic assault resulted in a 54-year-old man charged; he was released for court.
Assistance
           RCMP assisted the Department of Transportation in executing an arrest warrant.
           Members also assisted the Moose Jaw Police Services with a driving matter.
           There was a call for assistance when an individual fell out of their vehicle and hit their head on the ground. EMS also responded to this matter.
           Members assisted the Ministry of Justice regarding a witness subpoena.
           RCMP were also called regarding a child welfare matter.
           There was a mental health file which RCMP assisted with.
           Members assisted with an injured animal call.
           A kidnapping was reported, but RCMP attended and found it was a family dispute.
           Members were asked to keep the peace as an individual took back their effects.
Impaired related offences
           A 33-year-old woman was charged with multiple offences after being clocked at 158 km/hr: operating a motor vehicle while impaired, failing to provide a screening sample, dangerous operation of a motor vehicle, and resisting arrest.
           An impaired driver – 30-year-old male – was charged with impaired driving and impaired driving over 0.08.
           There was a complaint of a possible impaired by drugs driver. RCMP determined there was not enough information to proceed further.
           A 49-year-old was charged with driving while impaired, impaired driving over 0.08, and driving without a valid driver’s licence.
           Reports of a possibly intoxicated driver were called in from the Kenosee area. Patrols were unable to locate the vehicle.
           Someone in Manor asked for a wellbeing check on an intoxicated individual in the community. Members located the individual and gave them a ride to a residence.
           A three day suspension was issued to a 39-year-old male.
Driving offences
           An individual was stopped for driving while disqualified.
           Three tickets ($580) for unregistered vehicles were given out during this time.
           Five warnings for speeding were issued and one speeding ticket for $139 was issued during the week.
           A municipal bylaw complaint regarding parking is being checked into.
           Two tickets ($175 each) for failing to wear seatbelts were issued.
           There are two traffic incidents currently under investigation.
           Two people were found to be driving without a valid driver’s licence.
           Six warnings regarding vehicle maintenance issues (tint, mudflaps, headlights, etc…) were issued.
           There was a traffic accident in Arcola reported.
           A snowmobile accident was attended by RCMP and the snowmobile operator was warned about the speed they had been going.
Fraud
           There was a caller that reported a fraudulent call. RCMP advised them to report it to the Canadian Anti-Fraud Centre. The individual did not lose any money.
Harassment
           A caller complained about a collection agency, which were continually calling him, but asking about someone else. RCMP advised the individual that it was not harassment.
           There was a report of harassing messages, which are currently under investigation.
Mischief
           An unwanted individual at a residence in the Carlyle area was reported. Members attended and provided the individual with a ride to another place.
           There was a complaint of someone tampering with someone else’s vehicle’s gas cap. RCMP attended, but the individual had already left the scene.
Missing person
           An individual reported a missing person to the RCMP. Members investigated at length and located the person in cells.
Firearms related files
           A 30-year-old was found to be in possession of firearms without a licence and were also charged with unsafe storage of firearms.
Theft
           Members are currently investigating a reported theft.
           Theft of a motor vehicle is under investigation.
Threats
           A 29-year-old female was charged with multiple offences including impaired operation of a motor vehicle, uttering threats, failing to comply with conditions, and possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose.
           There was an individual being threatened over a car agreement. RCMP rectified the situation and helped the parties come up with a sensible solution.
