聽 聽 聽 聽 聽 聽 聽 聽 聽 The Carlyle RCMP detachment responded to a variety of calls over the holiday season between Dec. 28 and Jan. 4.

911 calls
聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 There were two 911 misdials: one from Redvers and one from the Carlyle area.
Assistance
聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Members of the Carlyle detachment assisted Regina Police Service regarding a collision. They also assisted the Fire Department with a fire call. Carlyle RCMP also provided assistance to RCMP from British Columbia concerning a serious file by taking statements.
聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 A child welfare case was attended to.
聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 On a particularly cold night an intoxicated individual left a business walking home. The business called RCMP concerned with the individuals safety; the RCMP had already picked him up and took him home as on extremely cold nights they proactively keep an eye out for people in need.
聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Four false alarms occurred within the detachment area.
Failure to attend court
聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 An individual failed to comply with an undertaking.
Unwanted visitors
聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Members received a call of an individual who was unlawfully in a residence. No charges were laid.
聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 There was a dispute at a property in the Carlyle area, which police attended, and it was resolved.
聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 An intoxicated individual was at a residence in the Carlyle area and they were not welcome. No charges were laid.
聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 A person in Redvers was causing problems at a residence. The individual left when RCMP were contacted and police presence was no longer required.
Driving infractions
聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 A case regarding driving with undue care and attention is currently under investigation.
聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 There were three impaired driving investigations during this time: in the first no charges were laid, the second patrol was unable to locate the suspicious vehicle, and in the third case the subject was located however police were unable to prove they had been behind the wheel.
聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 A Liquor Act file was dealt with.
聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Three motor vehicle insurance issues were dealt with.
聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 An intersection related incident occurred.
聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 There was an individual that was stopped for speeding and also given warnings for tint and mud flaps, as well as an inspection notice.
聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 An individual driving with an obstructed licence plate was stopped.
聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 A warning was given to someone who was unable to produce a vehicle inspection ticket.
聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 There was an individual who was given a warning for driving left of the centre line.
聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 An individual reported a driver who shouldn鈥檛 be driving for medical reasons. The driver was stopped, however, there were no restrictions on their licence.
聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 An erratic driver file is currently under investigation.
聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 A driver was stopped and found to be failing to comply with licence endorsements or restrictions.
聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 An inspection notice was given to an individual to repair the white licence plate lights on their vehicle.
聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 There was an individual fined $150 for driving without a licence.
聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Two minor collisions were reported to the Carlyle detachment during this time.
聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 There were an abundance of speeders stopped including three high tickets of $208, $206, and $200.
聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Simons reminds people to keep care on the roads and to please not rush as a way to ensure everyone鈥檚 safety. He light heartedly adds, 鈥淚 don鈥檛 think the heater will work better at higher speeds.鈥
Mischief
聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Damage was reported at a residence in Carlyle. It had involved an intoxicated individual, but was determined to be unfounded.
聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 A third party had reported damage to a building. RCMP investigated and determined the report was unfounded.
聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Property damage reported in the Carlyle area is under investigation.
Hunting
聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 There was a report of an individual hunting illegally in the Kisbey area. Patrols were made, but members were unable to locate the hunters.
