ΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύ Alcohol-related Offences

ΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύ An incident regarding an impaired driver found unconscious in a vehicle in the Carlyle area is still under investigation by Carlyle RCMP.

ΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύ A motorist was charged with impaired driving, with a blood alcohol level excedding 0.08. As a result, this individual will appear in court. A first offence carries a fine of $1,000 and a one-year driving suspension.

ΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύ On Halloween weekend, Carlyle RCMP issued a $360 fine to individual who had open liquor in a vehicle. Members also issued two warnings to minors regarding alcohol. Police remind the public that the legal drinking age in Saskatchewan is 19 years of age.

ΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύ The report of an assault which allegedly occurred in the Carlyle area was deemed to be unfounded by RCMP.

ΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύ Members of the Carlyle RCMP detachment provided assistance to SERM (Saskatchewan Environment Resource Management) regarding individuals hunting illegally in the Carlyle area.

ΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύ Members dealt with a property dispute in the detachment area.

ΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύ An incident regarding a rental agreement is under investigation by Carlyle RCMP.

ΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύ Police provided traffic assistance in response to a request from a farmer in the Arcola area who was moving cattle.

ΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύ At the request of various communities and schools in the detachment area, members will attend local Remembrance Day services in an official capacity.

ΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύ RCMP are currently conducting an investigation regarding criminal harassment.

ΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύ This week, members conducted several curfew checks within the detachment area with regards to individuals who are currently released on conditions.

ΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύ An individual turned their firearms in to the Carlyle RCMP detachment so the weapons could be destroyed. β€œIf you want to bring your firearms in so we can legally dispose of them, please call the detachment in advance,” says Cst. Joanne Franklin of the Carlyle RCMP detachment.

ΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύ An attempted fraud in which an individual claimed to be from the Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) is still under investigation by Carlyle RCMP.

ΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύ An intoxicated male who was unwanted in an area residence was lodged in cells until sober.

ΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύ Members of the Carlyle RCMP detachment are currently investigating an case of defamatory libel in the detachment area.

ΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύ RCMP members responded to a call under the Mental Health Act.

ΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύ β€œWith the onset of winter weather, the RCMP reminds motorists to slow down for road conditions and to adjust driving speed for icy conditions,” says Cst. Michael Pike of the Carlyle RCMP detachment. β€œAfter all, the posted speed limit is no good if you can't stop. Speed limits that are posted pertain to ideal weather and driving conditions, so please adjust your driving speed to conditions.”

ΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύ Police continue to encounter drivers using cell phones while driving and this week was no exception. RCMP wish to remind motorists not to use electronic devices while driving. The fine for this offence is $280.

ΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύ RCMP have issued several fines for uninsured trailers. Police would like to remind the public that trailers of any kind must be licensed and insured.

ΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύ In Carlyle, a reported hit and run in which a vehicle was damaged remains unsolved.

ΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύ RCMP dealt with several motorists who were driving vehicles without registration. The fine for this offence is $580.

ΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύ Police responded to a call reporting an erratic driver on Hwy 9, but were unable to locate this individual.

ΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύ Members issued several speeding tickets this week, with fines reaching $188.

ΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύ On Halloween night, members issued a fine to a motorist who failed to stop at a posted stop sign. Several other offences of this type occurred during this week. This fine for this offence is $580.

ΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύ Police issued several inspection tickets during this period -Β  for inadequate headlights, damaged windshields and tinted windows, insecure cargo, and more.

ΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύ Members conducted a well-being check on an individual in the detachment area at the request of the person's family.
