聽 聽 聽 聽 聽 聽 聽 聽 聽 The Carlyle detachment of the RCMP responded to a variety of calls between Oct. 19 and Oct. 26.

911 call

聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Four 911 calls were received by RCMP: the first call was an accident as an individual attempted to connect a conference call, one call involved a pocket dial, one was made by mistake, and the fourth was someone abusing the emergency line.

Animal call

聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 There were cattle reported near Wawota on the highway. Patrols were made, but the cattle had 鈥渕oo鈥檝ed鈥 on.

Assault

聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 An alleged assault in Arcola resulted in charges for both assault and uttering threats.

聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 There is an assault investigation ongoing in the Carlyle area.

Assistance

聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 RCMP assisted Surrey RCMP in locating an individual.

聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Carlyle RCMP assisted the Prince Albert Police Service with a warrant.

聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 RCMP assisted Weyburn involving the use of someone else鈥檚 name at a traffic stop conducted.

聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 RCMP attended mental health calls.

聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 A well-being check was conducted for a family on an individual.

聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 There was an incident involving a youth who took a nude selfie of themselves and it was forwarded on to others within the detachment area. Staff Sergeant Darren Simons explains, 鈥淚f you receive the photo of an individual who is under age, think it鈥檚 funny, and send it to someone else you are now actually responsible for transmitting child pornography. Taking inappropriate photos is risky, if they do go out, it鈥檚 something that stays out there; it never leaves the digital world. If you receive something like this go to a parent, teacher, or the police right away.鈥

聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 鈥淥ur goal isn鈥檛 to place charges; we鈥檙e focused on preventing it from happening and prevent it from continuing.鈥

Break and enter

聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Three break and enters occurred in the Carlyle area and remain under investigation.

Criminal harassment

聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 There was a report of criminal harassment in Redvers, however, the report was determined to be unfounded.

Driving infractions

聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 An individual was given a warning regarding driving with undue care and attention.

聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Patrols were made after an impaired driver was reported. The individual reported was located, but could not be charged.

聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 An erratic driver was reported at Kenosee. Patrols were made, but the individual was not located.

聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Six insurance violations were discovered during this time.

聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 There were three intersection related tickets issued during this time.

聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 The speeding high for the week involved an $184 fine.

聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Seatbelt tickets, windshield violation warnings, inadequate speedometer, inadequate mud flaps, failure to produce registration, unsecured cargo, two tickets for cell phone use, driving without a valid driver鈥檚 licence, driving with the wrong licence plates on a vehicle, illegible licence plates, loud muffler, and window tint were all issued during this time.

聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 A deer collision occurred during this time.

聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 There was a roll-over collision near Wauchope.

Failure to comply

聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 An individual was found to not be complying with their release conditions.

Fraud

聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Staff Sergeant Darren Simons reminds readers that those who plan frauds are professionals and to be wary. If you feel unsure about the call, email, etc鈥 contact RCMP and do not give any personal or financial information out.

聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 A fraud that has returned is one posing as the Canada Revenue Agency asking for money and threatening to jail you for not paying. Simons says the Canada Revenue Agency cannot do that and asks that individuals report to the RCMP or to the Canadian Anti-Fraud Centre.

Mischief

聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 The back window of a truck in Carlyle was broken.

聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Property damage at a recreational facility in the Carlyle area was reported.

Theft

聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 A 鈥済as and dash鈥 鈥 theft under $5,000 鈥 was determined to be unfounded. An individual stopped for gas and some items from inside. The employee had the individual pay for the products inside, but had forgotten about the gas.

聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 There was a theft in the Redvers area involving equipment and is currently under investigation.

聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 A theft of a motor vehicle from the Carlyle area was reported. The individual knows who took it.

Lost cell phone

聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 An individual鈥檚 cell phone went missing and they received a bill for over $1,000. This matter is under investigation. RCMP would like to remind readers that if they lose or misplace their cell phone it is important to contact their service provider immediately.

聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 A stolen phone was recovered by the owner.

Drug related incidents

聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 An investigation regarding drug use was conducted. Two were arrested and one was charged.

聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Marijuana and drug paraphernalia was seized in Carlyle.

Uttering threats

聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 While RCMP were doing a search of a residence, the occupant threatened a police officer and the individual was arrested and charged.

聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 A report of threats uttered in Carlyle was reported.
