Even keeping your vehicle in your garage and your keys elsewhere in your garage can be an invitation to theft. The best thing to do is secure your garage, lock your vehicle in your garage, and keep your keys somewhere else entirely. Thinking this way will help you secure your property effectively and will also act as a deterrent for thieves. Criminals are opportunisitc, but they're also basically lazy. Don't make it easy for them and don't make yourself an easy target. The more difficult you make it for them; the more difficult you make it for them.鈥
