The Carlyle RCMP detachment dealt with several files between Friday, Sept. 15 and Thursday, Sept. 21.

听听听听听听听听听听听 In Redvers, a male was arrested and charged with impaired driving.
听听听听听听听听听听听 A motorist in Wawota who was charged with speeding was also fined $360 for having open liqour in their vehicle.
听听听听听听听听听听听 An individual in Redvers was fined $360 for having open liquor in their vehicle.
听听听听听听听听听听听 This week,聽 RCMP received reports of possibly-impaired drivers in Arcola and Wawota. While both of these motorists were located by police, they were found to be sober. 鈥淗owever, we appreciate any calls that are intended to make our roads safer for everyone,鈥 says Staff Sgt. Simons.
听听听听听听听听听听听 Animal calls
听听听听听听听听听听听 RCMP members of what Staff Sgt. Simons jokingly calls the 鈥淏ovine Removal Team鈥 responded to two calls of cattle at large in the detachment area. In both cases, patrols were made, but the cattle were not located. 鈥淥ften, the cattle find their way back via the same way they escaped,鈥 says Simons, adding: 鈥淭hey find the grass isn't always greener on the other side.鈥

听听听听听听听听听听听 Carlyle RCMP received several calls regarding an alleged assault in Redvers. Police investigated and determined that this incident was domestic in nature, but were unable to determine assault.
听听听听听听听听听听听 Assistance
听听听听听听听听听听听 Members of the local Traffic Unit travelled to Regina and Stony Rapids to assist with traffic enforcement and聽 a liquor issue, respectively. 鈥淭his is a team approach to dealing with policing,鈥 says Staff Sgt. Simons. 鈥淲e often combine with teams in other places and teams have come to this detachment area, too.鈥
听听听听听听听听听听听 Police received a call regarding youths riding their bikes near the Rusty Relics Museum in Carlyle. Members spoke to them and ensured the situation was causing no harm.
听听听听听听听听听听听 Break and enter
听听听听听听听听听听听 Members are investigating break and enters which occurred in Wawota.
听听听听听听听听听听听 In Redvers a person or persons attempted to break in to the golf course clubhouse.
听听听听听听听听听听听 Child Welfare
听听听听听听听听听听听 Carlyle RCMP conducted a Child Welfare investigation within the detachment area.
听听听听听听听听听听听 Breach of Conditions
听听听听听听听听听听听 At a traffic stop in Manor, members located a suspended driver who also was to be found in breach of their conditions.
听听听听听听听听听听听 Disturbance
听听听听听听听听听听听 Carlyle RCMP responded to the report of a disturbance at a school within the detachment area. 鈥淚f you visit a school, you must report to the school office and let staff know you're there,鈥 says Staff Sgt. Simons. 鈥淚f you're not wanted at the school, you can't go in. And certainly, don't go in and cause a disturbance. If you have any concerns, contact he school principal or the RCMP in advance and we will work to resolve the issue.鈥

听听听听听听听听听听听 Fraud
听听听听听听听听听听听 鈥淭he (Canada Revenue Agency) fraud is back,鈥 says Staff Sgt. Simons. 鈥淚 would like to remind people that the CRA does not typically use the phone to approach citizens about matters, especially if the situation is serious. Even if you received correspondence, it's best to use caution: call the CRA and ensure you're using their proper phone number and never, never give out any personal or finanicial information 鈥 especially your social insurance number, your bank card number or any banking information or credit card numbers. If you have any concerns or questions, go directly to your bank or to the RCMP.鈥
听听听听听听听听听听听 Harassment
听听听听听听听听听听听 The RCMP often deals with harassing phone calls and this week was no exception. 鈥淚f you receive a phone call from someone you know and don't want to talk to, our first recommendation is to block them,鈥 says Staff Sgt. Simons. 鈥淚n most cases, that will take care of the problem. And in cases where a message is left, play it before calling the RCMP.鈥

听听听听听听听听听听听 A set of keys and a briefcase were stolen from an unlocked truck in Carlyle. The breifcase was located, but the keys are still missing.
听听听听听听听听听听听 Members investigated a theft from a truck in Redvers.
听听听听听听听听听听听 Traffic offences
听听听听听听听听听听听 Carlyle RCMP issued fines of $580 each regarding a motor vehicle and a trailer which were uninsured.
听听听听听听听听听听听 Members issued two fines of $230 each for intersection-related offences.
听听听听听听听听听听听 Several speeding tickets were issued by thr RCMP this week, with one driver driving 192 km per hour.
听听听听听听听听听听听 An individual was fined $150 for driving without a valid driver's licence.
听听听听听听听听听听听 A motorist holding a phone while driving was spoken to by a member.
听听听听听听听听听听听 Patrols were made by police after they received a report of an erratic driver near Forget.
听听听听听听听听听听听 Carlyle RCMP sent a letter to the owner of a vehicle who parked in areas reserved for school buses at Redvers School.
听听听听听听听听听听听 Uttering threats
听听听听听听听听听听听 Carlyle RCMP responded to a report of uttering threats and assault with a weapon. No charges were laid.
