聽 聽 聽 聽 聽 聽 The Carlyle RCMP detachment responded to several calls between Friday, March 31 and Thursday, March 6.

听听听听听听听听听听听 Statement from Staff Sgt. Darren Simons:

听听听听听听听听听听听 鈥淚n response to an anonymous letter that contained invalid allegations and insinuations surrounding the actions of Carlyle RCMP, Carlyle EMS and Carlyle Fire & Rescue, I would like to assure members of the public that the actions taken by all three groups are professional and respectful.鈥

听听听听听听听听听听听 鈥淗owever, anonymous letters do not give us the opportunity to respond and to clarify what has or has not transpired.鈥

听听听听听听听听听听听 鈥淎ll three groups take our duty to the public very seriously and I ask that anytime someone has a concern that they contact me at the detachment.鈥 聽

听听听听听听听听听听听 911 calls

听听听听听听听听听听听 Several 911 misdials occurred this week.

听听听听听听听听听听听 Alcohol-related offences

听听听听听听听听听听听 In two separate incidents within the Town of Carlyle, two individuals were located by RCMP members and lodged in cells until sober.

听听听听听听听听听听听 In the Carlyle area, RCMP were called to assist regarding the wherabouts of an intoxicated individual.

听听听听听听听听听听听 RCMP were alerted to a possibly-impaired individual driving in Carlyle. Members investigated, but were unable to locate the vehicle.

听听听听听听听听听听听 Assault

听听听听听听听听听听听 An incidence of assault causing bodily harm in the Carlyle area resulted in one male being charged, held in custody and awaiting an appearance in court.

听听听听听听听听听听听 Assistance

听听听听听听听听听听听 Carlyle RCMP assisted Regina Police Service by apprehending and arresting two individuals regarding an assault causing bodily harm which occurred in Regina. Both individuals appeared in court in Regina and one remains in custody.

听听听听听听听听听听听 RCMP members provided assistance to the Department of Social Services.

听听听听听听听听听听听 Members assisted Carlyle EMS.

听听听听听听听听听听听 Police provided assistance to Arcola Hospital.

听听听听听听听听听听听 Break and enter

听听听听听听听听听听听 Carlyle RCMP are investigating a break and enter in Manor.

听听听听听听听听听听听 A break and enter in Carlyle is currently under investigation.

听听听听听听听听听听听 Complaint(s)

听听听听听听听听听听听 Police are currently investigating a complaint from the Manor area regarding an individual who was unlawfully in another person's residence.

听听听听听听听听听听听 Drug offences

听听听听听听听听听听听 A traffic stop led the RCMP to a residence in Carlyle where several people were charged with drug offences. They will appear in court.

听听听听听听听听听听听 Explicit material

听听听听听听听听听听听 RCMP are investigating allegations of the electronic dissemination of sexually-explicit material (鈥渟exting鈥) within the detachment area.

听听听听听听听听听听听 Failure to comply

听听听听听听听听听听听 A citizen dropped an intoxicated individual off at the Carlyle RCMP detachment, due to concerns the intoxicated person was failing to comply with the conditions of their probation. This person was lodged in cells until sober.

听听听听听听听听听听听 An individual from the Antler area is charged with failure to comply with an undertaking.

听听听听听听听听听听听 Fire

听听听听听听听听听听听 Carlyle RCMP were called to a structure fire in Kisbey. Carlyle Fire & Rescue responded.

听听听听听听听听听听听 Fraud

听听听听听听听听听听听 An individual reported a possible attempted telephone fraud to the RCMP. In addition, members were alerted to another possible incidence of fraud by mail.

听听听听听听听听听听听 Harassment

听听听听听听听听听听听 RCMP are investigating an incidence of harrassment involving text messages in the Carlyle area.

听听听听听听听听听听听 Mental Health Act

听听听听听听听听听听听 The Carlyle RCMP detachment responded to a request from the University of Saskatchewan (Saskatoon) Veterinary Clinic, regarding the health of some animals in the detachment area. Members investigated and found the animals to be fine.

听听听听听听听听听听听 Members dealt with several more files under the Mental Health Act this week.

听听听听听听听听听听听 Mischief

听听听听听听听听听听听 Members are investigating an allegation of mischief in Kisbey, in which a vehicle's tires were slashed and sugar was poured in the gas tank.

听听听听听听听听听听听 Road safety

听听听听听听听听听听听 鈥淲e have received reports about motorists speeding through the school zone near Carlyle Elementary School, as well as reports that people are parking where they are not supposed to park. Both of these actions make the area around the school unsafe for children. Please obey the speed limit and be aware where you are parking, so that everybody can get to school safely.鈥

听听听听听听听听听听听 鈥淎nd with spring, comes bike season,鈥 adds Simons. 鈥淎nything that has wheels is considered a vehicle under the Traffic Safety Act and must follow the rules of the road 鈥 which includes obeying all traffic signs and driving or riding on the correct side of the road.鈥

听听听听听听听听听听听 鈥淧lease talk to your children about road safety and bike safety and lead by example.鈥

听听听听听听听听听听听 Theft

听听听听听听听听听听听 An incidence of theft under $5,000 from a business in Carlyle is currently under investigation by RCMP.

听听听听听听听听听听听 Traffic offences

听听听听听听听听听听听 Staff Sgt. Darren Simons says that members of the Carlyle RCMP detachment have recently witnessed erratic driving by motorists when police cruisers are nearby, with lights flashing. 鈥淚 urge drivers to comply with the rules of the road and to use good driving practices such 鈥 as complying with posted speed limits and聽 shoulder-checking 鈥 so that our roads will remain safe for everyone.鈥

听听听听听听听听听听听 Carlyle RCMP received a report of erratic driving. Although police did not locate the driver, the registered owner of the vehicle was advised by letter of the police and public's concerns.

听听听听听听听听听听听 Two individuals will appear in court for driving while disqualified or suspended.

听听听听听听听听听听听 A motorist was fined $280 for operating a cell phone while driving.

听听听听听听听听听听听 An individual was fined $150 for driving without a license.

听听听听听听听听听听听 Six motorists were charged for not insuring their vehicles. The fine for this offence is $580.

听听听听听听听听听听听 Members issued fines for speeding, failing to stop at a posted interesction, failure to wear a seatbelt聽 as well various fines for non-moving traffic violations, such as tint.

听听听听听听听听听听听 RCMP responded to the report of a vehicle making unnecessary noise.

听听听听听听听听听听听 Members dealt with vehicles regarding the transport of insecure loads.

听听听听听听听听听听听 RCMP delivered a warning to the driver of an all-terrain vehicle (ATV) regarding the Off-Road Vehicle Act.

听听听听听听听听听听听 Uttering threats

听听听听听听听听听听听 A threat regarding injury to an animal resulted in charges against a person in the Carlyle area.

缚听听听听听听听听听听 A report of uttering threats which originated from the Kisbey area is currently under investigation by Carlyle RCMP.

听听听听听听听听听听听 An incidence of uttering threats in the Carlyle area is under investigation.聽
