The Carlyle detachment of the RCMP responded to a variety of calls to service between Friday, Jan. 6, and Thursday, Jan. 12.
Animal complaint
               Loose dogs were reported in the Carlyle area.
Assault
               There was an assault reported in the Carlyle area, but no one was charged.
               Another assault was reported in the Carlyle area; there have been no charges at this time due to a lack of cooperation.
Assistance
               Someone reported concerns surrounding something on Facebook. The Carlyle detachment has forwarded those concerns to another police force as it is from their jurisdiction.
               Matters regarding child welfare and custody were addressed.
               Members have talked to senior groups and schools recently.
               There were false alarms addressed.
               Members attended calls regarding the Mental Health Act.
Breach of release
               Two breach of release conditions were addressed: one is currently under investigation in the Carlyle area and the other – in Antler – was determined to be unfounded.
Fraud
               There were concerns regarding a foundation, which was in Carlyle looking for donations.
               An individual is dealing with expenses on their credit card, which they didn’t have. The RCMP and bank are working together.
Driving infractions
               Two separate incidents of people driving while impaired were reported, but the RCMP were unable to locate the individuals.
               There were tickets issued for not having insurance - $580.
               Intersection related tickets were issued, including not stopping at a stop sign - $230.
               The speeding high this week was for $476.
               Seatbelt fines were issued - $175.
               A ticket was issued to a snowmobiler who didn’t have registration. Snowmobiles must have registration in order to operate on trails or public land. Part of the registration goes towards maintenance of trails.
               There were a variety of inspection tickets issued during this time.
               Log book violations were dealt with.
               A ticket for cell phone use was issued - $280.
               There was a minor collision on Main Street.
Theft
               A vehicle was reported as stolen, but the caller ended up getting it back and did not want to pursue any charges.
