Between the week of June 14th and 20th the RCMP received 66 calls.
False Calls
There were two false alarms that RCMP attended. One was in Carlyle and the other in Arcola, after police arrival they determined the alarms to be false.
A fire alarm at a business in Carlyle sounded, alerting the Fire Department. No fire was discovered and the alarm was false.
Animal Calls
There were four animal calls during this time.
Two of these calls involved dogs that had been struck by vehicles. RCMP attended both, one of the incidents the animal had already passed.
A woman in the Arcola area sought medical attention after being bitten by a dog. There were no serious injuries, but Public Health was advised.
People stopped near a rural residence and attempted to pick up two dogs. RCMP is investigating and knows who the suspects are.
911 Calls
There were five 911 calls requesting service in the area throughout the week. All were emergencies that the RCMP attended and two out of the five required medical assistance, so EMS services were advised and attended.
Assaults
There were three reported assaults.
The first involved a situation in Carlyle. RCMP attended and found no evidence of an assault, but one of the subjects was assisted in leaving the residence.
The second involved individuals at a residence in Manor. RCMP attended. No one was injured and members decided there was insufficient evidence to lay charges or make arrests.
The final call was of people fighting outside of a business in Redvers. The subjects had left prior to RCMP arrival and there were no other calls concerning these subjects. The subjects are unknown at this time.
Breach of Peace
There were two calls concerning breach of peace. The disturbances occurred at locations in the Carlyle area. RCMP attended both calls and assisted parties in ensuring no offences took place.
Break and Enter
There were eight cabins broken into throughout the week. All incidents are under investigation and most are believed to be related. No arrests have been made yet.
Hit and Run
There were two hit and runs. The first was a vehicle which sustained minor damage on Main Street in Carlyle; there are no suspects at this time.
The second involved the complainant who was heading west bound, when an east bound vehicle crossed the centre line and side swiped the complainant. The suspect vehicle didn't stop at the time of the collision and there is no information regarding this vehicle at this time.
Down power line
A notice of a down power line was reported as sparking and potentially resulting in causing a fire. SaskPower attended. No one was injured and there was no other property damage. The sparking line was caused through a power line being knocked down.
Fraud
A complaint of fraud was reported. The victim reported an online computer company from Europe as trying to bill her for $133. Luckily the victim was not out any money as she cancelled her credit cards.
Impaired drivers
Three reports of impaired drivers in the Carlyle area were called into the RCMP. Two of these calls members were unable to locate the suspect vehicles, while the third call the driver was located but determined to be sober; no charges were laid.
Mischief
Seven calls of mischief were reported between June 14th and 20th.
In Redvers property damage is being investigated at the log cabin historical site in town.
At Kenosee Lake a fence was damaged and this matter remains under investigation.
A vehicle was keyed during Buck-a-rama at the Casino. There are no suspects at this time.
A drunk individual was causing a disruption at a residence. Members attended, but the male had fled prior to arrival.
A complaint in the Corning area regarding tracks through someone's field was reported.
Two intoxicated persons were causing troubles at a residence and were removed from the home.
An intoxicated person causing a scene fled prior to RCMP arrival.
Traffic infractions
A complaint of a speeding vehicle through a construction zone was received. The witness took down a licence plate number and RCMP is now considering charging the registered owner for the offence.
A vehicle driving erratically was spotted near Redvers. No plate or vehicle description was given, but patrols were made though the suspect vehicle was not located.
A rig company had left large amounts of mud on Highway 13 between Arcola and Kisbey. RCMP attended the scene and spoke with the rig company who was making arrangements to have it removed from the highway.
A vehicle was taken without the owner's consent, though it was later returned safely the RCMP are still investigating.
Motorcycles racing were reported in Carlyle. The witness didn't give details of those partaking in the race and patrols made by RCMP did not locate the suspects.
Ten speeding tickets were issued during this week to a 28-year-old male for $188, a 56-year-old male for $139, a 33-year-old male for$216, a 22-year-old female for $138, a 25-year-old male for $190, an 18-year-old male for $137, a 43-year-old male for $136, a 28-year-old male for $194, a 53-year-old male for $138, and a 25-year-old male for $140.
A 32-year-old male was given a ticket for window tint at $115.
Two stop sign tickets were issued at $230, one was to a 24-year-old female and the other to a 25-year-old male.
A stunting ticket was issued to a 30-year-old male for $150.
Thefts
Theft of tires stolen from a vehicle was reported.
A utility trailer was stolen from a vacant lot.
Theft of fuel in Arcola was reported. Witnesses saw three individuals with jerry cans stealing fuel from a business in Arcola. RCMP attended and spoke with several locals.
These matters all remain under investigation.
Alcohol related infractions
A call of possible intoxicated persons appearing to be in need of assistance were reported. RCMP attended and a subject of complaint was taken for help.
An intoxicated person was reported as being along a roadway. The individual was arrested and charged with being drunk in public.
A report of an intoxicated male lying on someone's driveway was reported. RCMP made patrols, but the witness advised the subject had gotten up and fled the scene prior to police arrival. The individual was not located.
A 17-year-old female was arrested for being intoxicated. At time of arrest she provided a false name and identity to police and was held until sober. She was later released to attend court for lying to police.
