From Friday Jan. 24 to Thursday Jan. 30 the Carlyle RCMP detachment received 48 calls.
911 Calls
A 911 call was received from a business in Redvers. Upon investigation no one had any idea of the complaint.One call was received from Arcola which was dialled in error. Another Arcola call was about a vehicle that was struck during the snow storm.
False Alarm
One case of false alarm was reported in Carlyle which was cancelled by the owner of the business. It was a result of the wrong button being pressed. In Carlyle at a business there was a false alarm.In Manor, at the school there was a false alarm, which resulted from a power outage.There was false alarm at a residence in Carlyle, which was a result of a power outageThere was a false alarm in Redvers which was also a result of a power outage.In Carlyle at a business, there was a false alarm which was due to wind.
Assault
There was a report of assault in the local area which is currently under investigation.There was also another reported case of assault in the local area. The complainant declined to proceed with charges.A 37-year-old male was charged with assault in Redvers.A 21-year old male was charged with assault in the local area.There was a report of assault with a weapon to cause bodily harm in the local area. No charges were laid.
Assistance
The Carlyle RCMP provided assistance to Saskatoon police to inspect a vehicle, in order to remove their tint.Assistance was given to the general public stuck in the snow storm.Assistance was given to the general public in the execution of the Queen's court order. In Arcola, assistance requested to deal with uncooperative individual at the hospital. No charges were laid and the individual was released upon becoming sober.
Sudden Death
RCMP member attended to a sudden death south of Redvers where a 70 year old male was found.
Traffic Infractions
On hwy 13 near Arcola a vehicle was stopped for speeding and the driver, a 45-year-old male was found to be a suspended driver.There was a report of a possible impaired driver, checks were made but the driver was not locatedA 48-year-old male was charged for speeding near Carlyle and fined $230.Near Carlyle a 42-year-old male was charged $134 for speeding.Near Carlyle a 49-year-old male was charged $150 for speeding.In Carlyle a 33-year-old male was fined $130 for speeding.There were reports of an erratic driver on hwy 13 near Carlyle. Checks were made but the driver was not to located.
FireNear Wawota there was a structure fire which was believed to be cause by a chimney.
Mischief
There was report of mischief in the local where a 45-year-old male was arrested for intoxication.In the local area there was a report of mischief involving an unwanted person at a residence. Members attended and the individual was gone upon arrival.
Hit and Run
There was hit and run in Redvers where a blue Chevy Monte Carlo was damaged.
Theft
In Carlyle there was a report of a snowmobile being stolen. In the local area there was report of theft. The matter is currently under investigation.
There were reports of possible theft, at a business in the RM of Reciprocity. The matter is under investigation. CollisionReport of a traffic collision in Moose Mountain Provincial Park where the driver struck a tree. There were minor injuries.Between Carlyle and Arcola, there was single vehicle traffic collision that was caused by a visor that blew off one vehicle and hit another. There was minor damage.
