Weekly RCMP report

From Sept. 6 to Sept. 12 the Carlyle detachment of the RCMP received a total of 71 calls. AssaultsThere were six reports of assaults during the period.

From Sept. 6 to Sept. 12 the Carlyle detachment of the RCMP received a total of 71 calls.

AssaultsThere were six reports of assaults during the period. One victim ended up at the hospital after the individual was assaulted at a residence in the Carlyle area. RCMP are now seeking charges against a 40 year old male. In Manor, a 21-year-old female was assaulted by another female, however no charges were laid. In Forget there was a report of a fight that occurred inside a business. There were no injuries and the matter is still under investigation. A complainant in the Carlyle area reported that they were assaulted by a 63-year-old male. There were no injuries and the matter is still under investigation. An individual was assaulted twice with a weapon at a residence in Manor. The RCMP responded, a 29 and 32 year old male were both arrested and charged with assault with a weapon.

Break In

There was report of a break-in to a cottage, some items were stolen and the RCMP is still investigating.

Erratic Driver

RCMP received one call of an erratic driver on Hwy 13 east of Stoughton, checks were made but the vehicle was not located.

Probation

There was one suspect in the local area that failed to comply with their probation. The matter is currently under investigation.

Hit and Run

There was a report of a vehicle that was struck in the parking lot at the Carlyle Golf Club. RCMP attended and no suspects found.

False AlarmsThere were false alarm reports at a business and a residence in the local area.

Fire

There were three calls regarding fire during the period. A field fire near Redvers was reported but there were no reports of injuries.The other case was of a vehicle that caught fire along highway 9, North of Carlyle. The vehicle was quickly extinguished. And in Arcola a tree was set ablaze when it was struck by lightning. There were no injuries in both cases.

Harassment There were three reports of harassment that involved phone calls and text messages. All of which are under investigation, however no charges have been laid.

Alcohol

A 26-year-old was charged with possession of liquor in a vehicle on Hwy 13 near Carlyle.

There was a report of an intoxicated person in the parking lot of a local business. The Carlyle Ambulance attended and the individual was taken to the hospital. There was also an intoxicated person at a business in Carlyle who was also taken to the hospital for treatment.

Mischief In Manor, there was one report of car damage which was a result of a beer bottle that was thrown. The matter is still under investigation. There was a call from Carlyle of an intoxicated male causing a disturbance, checks were made and he was removed.

Speeding tickets

Seven people were issued tickets for speeding during the period.32 year old female - $19627 year old -$440 47 year old male $13538 year old male $13530 year old male $13426 year old male - $13728 year old male - $136

Traffic infractions

There were complaints of an erratic driver on Hwy 13 near Manor, a suspect was located but no charges were laid. There were also complaints of a pick-up truck driving erratically near Manor. Checks were made but the vehicle was not located. On Hwy 9 south of Carlyle there were reports of erratic driving by a semi. It was located and stopped but no charges were laid. In Manor there were complaints of a vehicle racing through the town. However the witness refused to give a statement but the suspect was located and spoken with. A 37 year old male was given ticket inspection to remove tint from his vehicle.A 25 year old female was charge $150 for driving without a license. A 25 year old male charged with driving with a suspended license and failed a road side screening. A 38 year old female also failed a road side screening

TheftThere was one complaint of theft in the local area; there were reports of fuel caps taken from trucks. It is suspected that suspects were possibly trying to steal fuel. The matter is still under investigation.

Suspicious vehiclesThere were reports of a suspicious vehicle in a farm yard late at night. Also reports of people on the street with children late at night. There was a complaint of an individual watching and continuously driving by a residence.

CollisionTwo semis bumped into each other however there was minor damage and there were no injuries.There was also a deer collision with a single vehicle but there were no injuries. Two vehicles collided at an intersection in Carlyle, a 32 year old female failed to yield the right of way at a yield sign, there were no injuries. There was also another deer collision with a pickup truck, there were no injuries.
