The weekly RCMP report is prepared with the assistance of the Carlyle RCMP. Issues involving the Mental Health Act, among others, are not reported.
The report this week covers the period of March 11 - March 18. The detachment assisted with 60 calls.
Carlyle RCMP members were called to assist with a sudden death in Redvers on March 4. The 46-year-old male passed away of natural causes.
Police issued a $198 speeding ticket to a 32-year-old male doing 139 km in a 100 zone on highway 13 near Manor.
Members spoke to a 16-year-old male after an individual called to complain that the young male passed the caller's vehicle and then slamming on his breaks to make a turn.
A female with a cut on her shoulder was transported to Arcola Health Centre by ambulance after police were called to a residence in the area to assist with intoxicated persons. As a result, police arrested a 39-year-old male and brought him back to the detachment. This investigation is continuing.
Police received a request-to-locate a five-year-old who was reported missing in the area. It was later determined the child was with his father. Indian Child and Family Services was notified.
A dog was reported missing from the Kisbey area. This file was not updated at press time.
Police are investigating a report of an abandoned vehicle in Forget.
RCMP received a complaint of a suspicious vehicle in the area on March 5. The caller later returned the call saying the vehicle had left.
An individual called police to report damage to his vehicle. The caller stated the truck had been parked six miles east of Stoughton parked at farm, when someone reportedly smashed the back window of the truck. The caller reported a $500 fuel pump along with 50 gallons of diesel fuel was missing. Police continue to investigate.
Police provided information to a caller in the area who was concerned about harassing phone calls and harassing comments on a social networking website. The caller was told to keep a log of the of the comments, if they continue, and if the person begins to make threats in person to contact police.
A 26-year-old male was stopped on a back road near Arcola when he was found to be intoxicated after failing a roadside screening device. At the detachment, he blew over .08 and was subsequently charged with driving while impaired and driving while over .08.
Police responded to a complaint that someone was driving recklessly around a school in Carlyle. Members made patrols but did not locate the vehicle.
Police responded to 911 call regarding a fight between a few people at a residence in Carlyle on March 6. Two individuals had begun fighting, while others tried to break it up. A 23-year-old and 32-year-old male were arrested and lodged in cells overnight. No charges were laid.
Carlyle RCMP received an unsolicited fax from a male who claimed to represent a Â鶹ÊÓƵ African bank. The fax requested personal information in return for half of $46 million. Police faxed the information onto PhoneBusters.
Goalie equipment was reported stolen from the back of a truck parked in the Arcola rink parking lot.
Police provided assistance to the an individual in Wawota who called members as she was concerned for her cousin's safety. Members attended and found the woman safe.
An individual in the area asked for police assistance in removing an intoxicated individual from a residence. Members attended and transported the subject to the detachment until sober. The complainant did not want to press any charges.
Carlyle RCMP were contacted by a male whose vehicle broke down outside of Arcola on highway 13. With no money or cell phone, the caller had no way of getting to his Oxbow home. Police picked up the individual and met members from the Carnduff detachment who then gave him a ride home.
Poor road conditions contributed to a semi truck ending up in the ditch near Arcola on March 7.
Members received a call of a 'gas and dash' from an establishment in Carlyle. A 47-year-old male advised he had to go home and get his wallet, but never came back. Since the business allowed him to leave, the case is of civil matter, not criminal.
Police received a complaint regarding a possible intoxicated person who left a business in Carlyle and got into a vehicle to drive away. Police were unable to locate the individual.
There was a hit and run reported at the parking lot of Wawota School. A 17-year-old male advised he had his dad's truck parked at school and when he came out, noticed someone had hit the truck. This matter is still under investigation.
Police received a call that a group of individuals had taken over the Pheasant Rump Band Office in peaceful protest on March 8. This situation is continuing.
Police issued a $194 speeding ticket to a 26-year-old male on highway 9 near White Bear for going 117 km in an 80 km zone. Three additional speeding tickets were issued to: a 50-year-old for $150; to a 32-year-old female for $128; and a 33-year-old male $150.
Members provided information to an area resident on what to do with a possible unwanted guest.
At the request of a caller, police removed an intoxicated female from a residence in the area. The female was lodged in cells overnight.
Police are investigating a report of a NSF cheque that was received by a business in Redvers.
Members are investigating a complaint of unauthorized use of a credit card. The complaint lives in Wawota and the card was reportedly used to make purchases in Calgary at a time when the complainant was not in Calgary.
A 22-year-old male received a speeding ticket for $188 on highway 9 near White Bear on March 9. The same individual was also fined $115 for having tint on his front windows.
A 30-year-old male was given a speeding ticket for $190 in the same place as the above.
Carlyle RCMP received a request from Regina Police Services on March 10 to get statement regarding a sexual assault.
Members were en-route to an alarm at Manor School when the call was cancelled, due to the fact the alarm was false.
There was a hit-and-run reported from Redvers. The caller reported it for insurance purposes.
A caller reported an abandoned vehicle on highway 48, one kilometre east of highway 9.
Someone found a purse on the road near Kisbey on March 11. Various forms ID and contents were intact, but there was no money. ID enabled police to return purse to owner.
Police executed a drug warrant in the area. However, no drugs were located.
A 46-year-old woman was charged with impaired operation of a vehicle over .08, impaired operation of a motor vehicle and possession of narcotics after she was pulled over by police. Police were tipped off by a driver following the woman, who noticed she kept driving on the wrong side of the road.
Police executed a second drug warrant drug at residence in area. A small quantity of drugs were found. No charges were laid in the matter.
Carlyle RCMP received calls regarding three vehicle accidents the day of the blizzard - one one highway 48 near Wawota, one on highway 13 near Forget, and one on highway 13 near Antler.
A business in Redvers informed police of a possible case of fraud.
