Weekly RCMP report

It was a slow week for the Carlyle RCMP detachment. Between the 9th and 15th of Nov., members received only 15 calls. Cases involving mental health issues, child welfare or other undisclosed matters will not be reported. Nov.

It was a slow week for the Carlyle RCMP detachment. Between the 9th and 15th of Nov., members received only 15 calls. Cases involving mental health issues, child welfare or other undisclosed matters will not be reported.

Nov. 9: The RCMP received a complaint of an impaired driver on Highway 13 near Antler. Members located the driver (a 65-year-old male) and charged him with alcohol-related offenses.

Members received a complaint of someone smoking marijuana in Carlyle. Members were unable to locate the subject of the complaint.

Nov. 10: The RCMP received a 9-11 misdial from Carlyle.

Members received a complaint of a runaway youth. Members located the subject of the complaint in Arcola and charged the person with breaching conditions to remain in Regina.

Members charged 22-year-old male with failing to obey a stop sign in Arcola.

Nov. 11: No cases were reported.

Nov. 12: The RCMP received a complaint of an abandoned vehicle in the Redvers area. The vehicle was towed by highway authorities.

Members received a complaint of driver failing to pay at a gas station. Members located the subject of the complaint who subsequently returned to the station and paid for the gas.

Members received a call of a male walking on the side of a highway in the Carlyle area. The caller was concerned for the individual's safety. Members located the subject of the complaint and gave the person a ride home.

Members attended a house fire in Carlyle. The Carlyle Fire Department extinguished the fire, which was confined to home's chimney, and no injuries were reported.

Nov. 13: No cases were reported.

Nov. 14: The RCMP charged a male driver in Carlyle with failing to obey a stop sign.

Members received a report of recovered stolen property-a safe from a break-and-enter that took place 9 months ago in Aberdeen-which was located on a farmer's property in the Carlyle area. The RCMP is asking anyone with information about this case to contact either the detachment or Crime Stoppers.

Members received a report of a motor vehicle collision with a deer near Kisbey. Members attended the scene of the accident, the vehicle was still drivable and no injuries were reported.

Nov. 15: Members attended a false alarm at a business in Carlyle.
