The Carlyle detachment of the RCMP received 48 calls during the period of Oct. 18 to Oct 24.
911 Calls
There were complaints of an argument at a residence in the local area, the RCMP visited location but found there was no criminal activity.
False Calls
A 911 call was received which was a result of children playing with the phone.
Members of the local detachment responded to a call at a business location but upon arrival it was found that an employee accidently made the call.
False AlarmsThere were reports of a false alarm, members attended but all was secure at the location.
There was also another complaint of an alarm; members attended and it was found to be false, the building was secure.
Abandoned Car
There were complaints of an abandoned car. The owner was contacted and the car was removed.
AssaultThere were complaints of an assault at a bar in Redvers, members of the RCMP attended and spoke to the victim who did not want to press charges.
Members responded to a complaint of assault where the victim was assaulted by three individuals. The victim provided a statement to the police and the suspects were charged.
There were reports of an assault in the local area where the victim was taken to the hospital and treated for minor injuries. The victim however did not want to provide information regarding the assault.Another complaint of assault was reported where the victim was assaulted and received minor juries. The individual was taken to the hospital for treatment and the suspect was charged.Assistance to the publicA call was received from a woman complaining of not being able to feel her legs, members contacted the ambulance and she was attended to by EMS staff.Break and Enter
There were complaints of a break and enter in the Parkman area where some items were taken, Members attended and the matter is still under investigation.
Failure to appear
There is warrant out for two individuals who failed to attend court in Carlyle.
There is also an additional three other warrants out for individuals who failed to attend court
Intoxication
An intoxicated person at the Bear Claw Casino was arrested and lodged until sober.Hit and RunThere was a complaint of a hit and run at the Bear Claw Casino. The victim's vehicle was parked in the parking lot when hit. The matter is still under investigation.FraudThere were complaints of fraud involving an individual receiving phone calls and being asked to send money via money gram to someone posing as a relative in an emergency.
Impaired DrivingThere were complaints of an impaired driver in the local area, checks were made but the vehicle was not located.MischiefIn Arcola there were complaints of mischief, where a number of street signs were knocked down over the weekend. The matter is still under investigation.AccidentsThere was a motor vehicle accident in Redvers, EMS and fire department attended, three occupants were checked out by EMS, there were no injuries.
There was also another motor vehicle accident where a driver was charged with proceeding from a stop sign before it was safe to do so.Near Kisbey there was a vehicle roll over; one person was taken to Arcola hospital with minor injuries.There was another roll over near Kisbey, the driver hit some ice and went into the ditch and rolled. There were no injuries
There was a two vehicle collision near Carlyle, there were no injuries and no charges laid.
Speeding
A 31-year-old female was charged $135 for going 125k in a 100km zone. A 57-year-old male was charged $188 for doing 134km in 100km zone. There were complaints of speeding semis near Arcola, as a result members are increasing patrol in the area.Other Complaints
Members received complaints of a missing youth. The individual was located by family at a friend's houseThere were complaints of threats, the matter is currently under investigation.Members performed a vehicle stop in Carlyle. The driver displayed signs of impairment, and the driver was issued a 24 hr suspension.
Members received a complaint of a large flat deck truck turning unto hwy 13, while turning the truck took out a stop sign and light standard. The witness was unable to identify the truck.
