The Carlyle Detachment of the RCMP had 67 calls to service between Friday, July 11, and Thursday, July 17.

911 calls

During this time RCMP received seven 911 calls including one to Arcola for a report of theft, two calls in the Carlyle area involved static lines which Sasktel explained as line problems, two misdials each originating in Carlyle, a call to Redvers which upon calling back sounded like a fax machine, and a call regarding a domestic dispute in the Carlyle area where the caller requested help in getting away.

Alarm calls

An alarm to a commercial building in Redvers came through, but upon investigation everything was found to be fine.

Further alarms included calls to Redvers, Carlyle, and the Manor School. All were found to be false.

Assault

There was an assault in Arcola reported and this remains under investigation.

An assault in the Carlyle area was called in, but the victim declined to pursue charges.

Inquiries are being made into a call regarding a possible assault in the Carlyle area and a possibly impaired driver.

Assistance

An individual attempting to report an accident in Â鶹ÊÓƵ Africa was given assistance by the Carlyle RCMP.

There was a disturbance call to a residence in Arcola and members provided assistance for a domestic situation regarding the custody of a child.

During the week four different requests for fingerprints were done for criminal record checks.

A wallet was found and turned into RCMP from the Carlyle area. The owner was contacted and later picked it up.

Assistance was provided to individuals who were attempting to locate someone. The subject of concern was found asleep at home and simply hadn't heard the door.

Driving infractions

Report of a dangerous driver on Hwy 9 was reported. The vehicle near Alameda at the time of the call was believed to be headed toward Carlyle, but patrols were unable to locate it.

A dangerous driver going through a construction zone near Lampman, believed to be heading to Carlyle was reported, though this vehicle was also not located.

Members on patrol were able to locate a vehicle on Hwy 9 N being driven by a 43-year-old male. The vehicle was unregistered, so he was fined $580, but he was also charged with driving while suspended which is a straight court appearance.

Four speeding tickets were issued. A 60-year-old male was fined $137; a 29-year-old male was ticketed $135; a 50-year-old male was fined $136; and a 44-year-old male was ticketed $186.

A 52-year-old female has been charged with failing to stop for police and will have to appear in court.

An erratic driver who didn't stop at a stop sign in Arcola is currently under investigation.

Near Forget a 19-year-old male was reportedly driving erratically. The individual was located and charged for speeding and for having open liquor in the vehicle.

A possible erratic driver in a semi with a cattle hauler was reported and is under investigation.

Near Redvers an erratic driver was reported. Members were unable to attend because they were on another call. No licence plate was provided for RCMP to follow up on.

There was a complaint of a vehicle passing others while unsafe along Hwy 9 south of Carlyle. The complainant refused to pursue charges.

At Kenosee Lake a 65-year-old male was stopped and fined $580 for driving an unregistered vehicle. The individual is also required to attend court now for driving while disqualified as well.

Two collisions occurred during this time one near Carlyle and the other near Wawota though both involved a pickup truck rear-ending a semi. There were no serious injuries in either matter, but the incident near Wawota is still under investigation and charges may result, while no charges were laid in the matter near Carlyle.

A possibly impaired driver in the Carlyle area was reported.

There was a careless driver reported in Redvers.

Along Hwy 9 south of Carlyle a vehicle travelling at excessive speeds was reported.

Alcohol related incidents

An intoxicated individual was causing a disturbance in the Carlyle area. This person was taken into custody and held overnight in cells until sober.

While on patrol RCMP stopped a 59-year-old male who was charged with impaired driving near Kenosee Lake.

Theft of a vehicle from the Carlyle area was reported. Members located the vehicle. The driver was impaired leading to a 28-year-old male in the Carlyle area who was also charged with impaired driving. No charges were pursued regarding the theft charges though.

Complaint of an erratic driver was called in. Members located the vehicle, which was parked, and the alleged driver. The individual was charged $200 for being intoxicated in a public place.

A 20-year-old male was also charged $200 for being intoxicated in a public place during this time.

A 56-year-old at Kenosee Lake was fined $360 for having open alcohol in a vehicle.

In Manor reports of an intoxicated person on the streets was called in. The subject was trying to get home and because they were very cooperative members took the individual home.

Two individuals in the Carlyle area were reportedly lying in the road. Patrols were made but the persons of interest were not located.

A 53-year-old male had his licence suspended for three days for alcohol consumption.

Fire

There was a fire in the Carlyle area at an abandoned house. Four young people had started the fire in the house, no charges were laid, but the youth were found by RCMP and were told to put the fire out.

Reports of a fire along Hwy 9 were reported, but upon investigation RCMP were unable to find signs of a fire, there were no flames or smoke present.

Mischief

An individual punched out a window in Moose Mountain Provincial Park and a 33-year-old male has been charged.

In Redvers a call of mischief was reported upon the discovery of someone having driven over a fence. This matter is under investigation.

Patrols on Hwy 9 came upon two youth carrying a hammer and a duffel bag. Both have been charged with breaching an undertaking and possession of items used for breaking and entering.

Suspicious persons

A suspicious vehicle was reported in the Carlyle area.

In Redvers a report of suspicious people soliciting donations was called in and is currently under investigation.

Other calls

An abandoned vehicle was reported near Carlyle. The owner was contacted.

For missing court on Wednesday July 16, a 49-year-old male has been charged for failing to attend court and a warrant has been issued. A 44-year-old male and a 28-year-old female also missed court and warrants have been issued.

An individual in the Carlyle area has received harassing and suspicious phone calls. This matter is under investigation.

As per requested an individual stopped by the detachment to prove that they had the window tint on their vehicle removed.

Theft of cash in Carlyle was reported. The suspect returned the money and charges were not laid.
