The Carlyle Detachment of the RCMP responded to a total of 63 calls to service during the week of Friday, Aug. 1, and Thursday, Aug. 7.
911 calls
There were a total of five 911 calls during this time. Three of the calls were static lines, twice this occurred originating in Redvers and once from Kisbey. One from Moose Mountain Provincial Park was a misdial and a call originating in Wawota was determined not to be an emergency.
Animal calls
There was a call regarding animals near Hwy 13 by Kisbey. The owner was located and they were moving cows.
A second animal call came from an individual north of Arcola who had seen a cow laying down in a field in the same spot for four days.
Assault
Four assaults were reported. Three were in the Carlyle area, two of these are currently under investigation and the third involved a complainant who declined to press charges. The final incident had RCMP respond to Kenosee Lake where the complainant declined to lay charges.
Assistance
EMS requested RCMP to accompany them on a call in the Carlyle area. Members were called off prior to responding to the call though.
RCMP executed a warrant for the Regina Police Services on a 13-year-old male at court.
A complaint developed between a separated family regarding pictures being posted to the internet. The photos were not offensive, but the individual simply didn't want photos of their child online.
Members received a call regarding a custody issue and the parties involved resolved the matter without police.
Three criminal record checks were performed by the RCMP during this time.
There was a request for RCMP to locate a nine-year-old in Carlyle. RCMP discovered the situation was a custody issue.
RCMP responded to a call regarding possible gunshots. Investigation determined the noise was related to fireworks.
An individual in Manor reportedly broke a restraining order and RCMP are investigating.
Break and enter
A break and enter to a cabin in the Carlyle area was reported and remains under investigation.
There was also a house in the Carlyle area that reported a break and enter. RCMP attended and determined that there hadn't been one.
Disturbing the peace
Intoxicated individuals at Kenosee Lake were disturbing the peace, but were not located when police arrived.
A disturbance at Wawota is currently under investigation.
There was a complaint from an individual in Arcola regarding a loud party. Members attended and asked the individuals to take the party inside the house and to keep it down. There were no further calls regarding this matter.
A loud party was reported in the Carlyle area. Loud music was playing and fireworks were being set off. Members attended and the party was shut down.
A house party was reported in the area which was disturbing the peace. RCMP were called off as a fight erupted at the house ending the party, so there were no further issues regarding this matter.
Alcohol-related infractions
There was an impaired driver reported along Hwy 9 near north of Carlyle. Members attended and as a result, a 31-year-old male was charged for driving while under a 24-hour suspension.
In the Carlyle area an 18-year-old female was charged with impaired care and control as well as for impaired operation of a motor vehicle over 0.08.
A male, 31-years-old, was charged for operating a motor vehicle while impaired.
Also charged with impaired operation of a motor vehicle was a 22-year-old male in the Carlyle area.
There was an inebriated individual walking in the Carlyle area with alcohol in hand. The individual was located, taken to cells, and lodged until sober. They were also charged with having open alcohol in a public place and fined $250.
In Arcola an intoxicated individual was causing problems at a house. They had attempted to leave with a vehicle, but left the house on foot. The complainants refused to press charges.
An intoxicated individual was inside someone's home that didn't want them there. They just wanted the individual to leave the house.
In the Carlyle area an intoxicated individual was causing issues at a residence and the complainant wanted the person removed from the house.
Near Wawota a complaint regarding possibly intoxicated people at a shooting range were reported. Members attended, but the subjects of complaint had already left.
In the Carlyle area an individual was passed out at the end of a road. The complainant's husband took the 14-year-old youth home.
A roadside suspension was issued to an 18-year-old male due to alcohol consumption. The suspension was issued for 60-days.
Motor vehicle collisions
A hit and run in Carlyle resulted in damage to a white Ford F-350.
There was a red PT Cruiser damaged in a hit and run in Carlyle.
A motor vehicle collision occurred in a rural area near Carlyle. Three minors were involved in the rollover, but there were no injuries. A 17-year-old male was charged as a minor possessing alcohol.
Driving infractions
There was an erratic driver reported on Hwy 13 near Carlyle, but the caller was unable to procure a licence plate number and was unsure which direction the vehicle would have gone.
A report erratic driver near Antler on Hwy 13 is currently under investigation.
One speeding ticket was issued to a 16-year-old female north of Carlyle on Hwy 9 for $216.
While patrolling, members stopped a suspended driver who was continuing to drive.
Reported near Forget was a semi truck on Hwy 13 with an oversized load travelling too fast for its situation. The complainant believed the semi was travelling at least 125km/hr. Since the vehicle was in the westbound lane, Carlyle RCMP notified Weyburn and Fillmore detachments.
Complaints of an erratic driver heading towards Carlyle from Redvers was reportedly going very fast and passing on solid lines. No licence plate number was obtained.
Mischief
Mischief was reported in Arcola with something believed to have been put into the gas tank of a dirt bike.
Reports of a male youth bothering an individual were made in Carlyle.
Theft
Theft of a cell phone in Carlyle was reported. The situation had been a misunderstanding though with one individual having borrowed the others phone.
A theft in Arcola is currently under investigation.
Keys were reported stolen from a vehicle in Carlyle and this matter is currently under investigation.
In Redvers a theft was reported and is under investigation.
Other calls to service
An alarm to a business in Carlyle was tripped. Members had already arrived and determined there were no issues when the keyholders cancelled the call.
In Arcola a janitor set off the businesses alarm. All was well.
An individual reported a sexual assault which had occurred in Manitoba at the Carlyle detachment and the matter is still under investigation.
Suspicious vehicles were reported in both Wawota and at Kenosee Lake, but there were no issues.
There was a suspicious person near a cabin in the Carlyle area.
On White Bear Lake a few kids were reportedly sea-dooing without life jackets or supervision.
