911 call

A 911 call was investigated and determined to have originated through children playing with the phone. The mother of the children said she would be speaking with them.

Abandoned vehicles

An abandoned vehicle on Hwy 9 north of Carlyle was located. The owner was located and was able to get it going again.

Another abandoned vehicle was found between Carlyle and Arcola on Hwy 13. There were no issues regarding the matter other than the vehicle wasn't running.

Animal call

An animal call in Wawota regarding three missing yearling heifers is under investigation.

Assaults

RCMP attended an assault in the Carlyle area. A 35-year-old male was charged.

A second assault during this time is currently under investigation.

There was a 20-year-old female in the Carlyle area charged in an assault with a weapon.

Assistance

Assistance was given when someone tried to drive away from the gas station with the hose still attached. The individual was spoken with and they made an honest mistake having paid for the gas and thought the hose had been replaced.

In the Carlyle area an individual asked RCMP to assist in getting an unwanted house guest out of their home. The unwanted individual was given a ride.

An individual at Kenosee Lake receiving phone calls from a prerecorded message has decided to block the number.

RCMP were contacted by an individual concerned about the visibility due to the fog, which had descended in the evening.

False alarms

Four false alarms were attended by RCMP during this time: at an Arcola business the cause of the alarm was unknown, possible animal activity caused an alarm at a business in Redvers, there were mechanical issues with the alarm sensors at a business in Carlyle, and decorations set off an alarm at a business in Redvers.

Fire call

A reported fire in the Carlyle area was determined to have been a fog machine which had set off the alarm.

Traffic hazards

On Hwy 13 a possible impaired driver was reported. RCMP found the driver, a 42-year-old male, was given a 24-hour licence suspension.

A traffic hazard was reported on Hwy 9 south of Carlyle, so it was inspected. A rig was parked on the side of the road and calls had come in because of the weather at the time.

A possible impaired driver was reportedly driving from the Carlyle area to Arcola, but the vehicle was not located.

Reported near Kisbey was an erratic driver, but the vehicle was not located.

Vehicle collisions

There was a fatal traffic collision on Thursday, Jan. 9 near Forget between a semi and a three tonne truck. The semi driver was taken to hospital in Regina via Weyburn, while the driver of the three tonne truck was determined to be deceased at the scene.

A collision with a moose near Redvers along Hwy 13 was reported. There were no injuries.

Â鶹ÊÓƵ of Carlyle on Hwy 9 was a collision, but there were no injuries.

Near Kisbey along Hwy 13 a vehicle struck a power pole. No injuries were reported.

A collision in Carlyle between two vehicles occurred. No charges have been laid yet, but it is still under investigation.

Â鶹ÊÓƵ of Kisbey on the 605 grid was a single vehicle rollover. There were no serious injuries and remains under investigation.

A two vehicle collision near Arcola is also still under investigation.

An individual backed into the side of a Brinks truck in Carlyle.

There was a possible traffic hazard reported near Manor on Hwy 13. A semi was out with no headlights on.

A hit and run in Carlyle was reported. Damaged was a black Mazda Sport.

Other calls to service

A break and entering was reported and is currently under investigation, though nothing was reported as missing.

A report of theft in the Carlyle area was called in and is still under investigation.

The possibility of theft from a Carlyle business is currently under investigation.

In Carlyle a report of a 13-year-old male in possession of a weapon for dangerous purpose, but it was determined not to be a dangerous weapon.

A report of a sexual assault in the Carlyle area is under investigation. Also under investigation is the report of a sexual assault in the Kisbey area.

Harassing phone calls were reported in the Kisbey area.

A complaint of uttering threats was reported in the Carlyle area.

There was a call of mischief in the Carlyle area, but the complainant declined to pursue charges.
