The Carlyle Detachment of the RCMP responded to 66 calls throughout the week of June 28th and July 4th.
False calls
There were two 911 calls in the area. One was false and the second concerned an individual breaking a window, but the owner didn't want to press charges.
Four false alarms were reported during this time including three businesses, two in Redvers and one north of Kisbey, as well as a residence in Manor.
Assault
Two assaults occurred during this time. One happened in the Carlyle area and the other took place in Redvers. Both are under investigation at this time.
Assistance
Regina Police Services requested assistance in looking into the health conditions of an individual who had been involved in an accident there.
Assistance was given to a citizen whose email had been hacked. The individual has since taken measures to safeguard their email.
RCMP were requested to locate a 47-year-old female who hasn't been in contact with the complainant for awhile.
Break and enters
There were seven break and enters to cabins in the Carlyle area as well as a single break and enter in Arcola. All remain under investigation.
Disturbing the peace
Six separate disturbing the peace calls were received. The first call was to a loud party in Carlyle. The second concerned an intoxicated individual refusing to leave a bar in Arcola. The next call regarded a grad party in Wawota. Fourthly a pushing match developed when an individual attempted to collect a debt from work performed. RCMP were requested to attend an ice cream shop in the Carlyle area for a yelling and screaming match. Finally an individual at Kenosee was attempting to get into a bar and was fighting with bouncers.
Possible explosive device
RCMP were called by a concerned individual who had found an item in Moose Mountain Provincial Park, which they thought was suspicious. Inspection showed the item was a geocache. Geocaching is a popular pastime around the world and is considered a real life treasure hunt as people use GPS to locate the geocache or hidden container.
Destruction of property
A brick was thrown through a window of a trailer in Arcola. The matter is still under investigation.
A grey Ford Mustang was keyed and struck by another vehicle at Moose Mountain Provincial Park.
Two separate calls were received concerning vehicles with tires slashed in Redvers.
A hit and run was reported in Carlyle.
Motor Vehicle Collisions
A 57-year-old male was involved in a single vehicle rollover, no injuries were reported.
There was a single vehicle rollover on a grid road. EMS released both occupants at the scene with minor injuries. No charges were laid.
A collision with a deer was reported near Arcola on Highway 604.
Firearms complaint
A call regarding an individual carrying a gun was located in the Carlyle area. The individual did not have a gun on them at time of location.
Possible impaired drivers
Two calls were received throughout the week regarding possible impaired drivers. One individual's keys had been taken and they were prevented from driving anywhere. The other driver was not located.
Found
A black and brown bicycle was found at Kenosee Lake. Contact the RCMP if aware of the owner.
Failure to comply
A 26-year-old male was charged with failing to appear in court.
A 50-year-old woman was charged with the breaching of an undertaking by failing to report.
Liquor related offences
On Highway 13 between Arcola and Kisbey an intoxicated male was walking. Patrols were made, but the individual was not located.
A 26-year-old male was charged with consuming alcohol in an area other than a private place and fined $250.
A 29-year-old male was fined $200 for being intoxicated in public at Kenosee.
There was a report of a 23-year-old male who was walking around drunk in Moose Mountain Provincial Park. The individual was not causing problems but the complainant was concerned for the person's safety. He was given a ride to his residence.
Traffic infractions
A 27-year-old male was charged with passing an emergency vehicle at more than 60 km/hr.
A 38-year-old male was fined $436 for speeding along Highway 9. He was travelling 134 km/hr in an 80 km/hr zone.
A written warning and a ticket of $115 was given to a 20-year-old male for having tint on the front windows of his vehicle.
A warning was given to a 33-year-old male for driving a vehicle which was too high off the ground.
An erratic driver near Kisbey was reported, but not located.
A vehicle was blocking a street at Kenosee Lake.
Thefts
An iPhone was taken in Arcola. There are currently no suspects at this time.
Just outside of Manor at a construction/pipeline site there was a theft of fuel.
There was theft of a motor vehicle at Kenosee. It was taken two blocks and left. There was no damage done to the vehicle and RCMP have no suspects at this time.
An 18-year-old female took a vehicle without permission in the Carlyle area. No charges were laid.
A bicycle was taken from a yard in Carlyle. This incident remains under investigation.
Mischief
There was suspicious activity at Kenosee Lake where kids were pushing a golf cart around.
Four youth were reported as plucking flowers along Main Street in Carlyle.
Uttering threats
There were a total of four reports of threats being uttered. The first was via telephone at Wauchope. The second was in Redvers via text message. The third report was of threats being uttered via telephone. Finally threats were made to damage property in Redvers.
