The weekly RCMP report is prepared with the assistance of the Carlyle RCMP.
Issues involving the Mental Health Act, among others, are not reported.
The report this week covers the period of Jan. 21, 2011, to Jan. 27, 2011.
A total of 48 calls were received over the week.
Beginning on Jan. 21, a request was received to locate an intoxicated person.
Responding members located the person safe at a friend's house.
A residential alarm drew members to a home in Carlyle, where they found the property secure.
The event is recorded as a false alarm.
A complainant contacted the detachment to report a threat made against their person.
Responding members arrived at the residence and were unable to locate anyone either within the home or outside.
A report of an assault, related to the preceding report, led to the arrest of four females.
Charges of assault, break-and-enter, and uttering threats have been laid against three women, ages 35, 24, and 23.
Members responded to a request from a provincial ministry to render assistance by putting-down an injured moose.
A report was made to the detachment of an accident where a business vehicle hit and damaged a parked car.
The driver of the vehicle, unable to find the owner of the vehicle they struck, informed police of the incident, as well as leaving contact information on the damaged vehicle.
Calls on Jan. 22 began with a call detailing a two-vehicle MVA on Main St. in the community of Manor.
A ticket was issued in the amount of $200 to a 33-year-old male for failing to yield right-of-way.
A business in Carlyle called the detachment to report a fight apparently brewing among patrons of the establishment.
The offending parties left the location before the responding members arrived.
Members were asked by town of Carlyle to assist with by-law enforcement by issuing tickets to vehicles that were parked in such a way as to impede snow removal.
Jan. 23, the detachment received a call for assistance, as an intoxicated person had decided to make a long hike without adequate winter clothing.
Members located the individual and transported them to another place.
Members responded to a call requesting police assistance after a caller detailed an attack on their property.
A 911 hang-up call was received, however following an investigation, it was found to be an error.
A call of a suspicious person drew members to the area near Carlyle.
A complaint was received of threats being uttered.
Members have opened a file on the situation.
A call of an erratic driver brought members to highway 13 near Kisbey.
The driver told members that due to the extremely slick nature of the roads, they were going exceptionally slow.
A call identifying a stolen vehicle drew members to an area where they located the car in question, along with two passengers, ages 19 and 14.
Both have been charged with possession of stolen property.
A break-and-enter in Redvers drew members to the town. The pharmacy in town had been burglarized, and an undisclosed amount of pharmaceutical narcotics were stolen.
Members are investigating.
A call into the station by a good Samaritan led to the suspension of a licence.
The caller informed members of a vehicle stuck in a ditch.
Responding to the scene of the accident, members found two women from Estevan at the site.
Further investigation led to open liquor containers in the front of the vehicle, and the driver, when asked to take a breathalyser, blew a warning level.
The driver was issued a 24 hour suspension.
Jan. 24 began with a call received reporting a deer MVA in the vicinity.
The vehicle, while damaged, was driveable.
A resident called to inform members of a hit-and-run that had happened in their driveway. A report was filed on the incident.
An alarm drew members to a business in the area, however it proved to be false.
A 911 call reported a single vehicle accident on highway 13.
The driver of the vehicle was thrown from the vehicle.
Two passengers, both wearing their seatbelts, were treated for minor injuries.
The driver was transported by EMS to Regina for emergency medical care.
Since this report was delivered, the driver succumbed to wounds sustained in the accident.
The identity of the driver has not been officially released, pending notification of next-of-kin.
Jan. 25, a two-vehicle collision occurred on grid 604.
The head-on collision injured both drivers, and both were taken to Arcola Hospital for treatment.
A call drew members to a residence to remove an intoxicated individual, but upon arrival, members found the person had already left the premises.
A call of a minor accident drew members to Carlyle Main Street where a vehicle, stopped to allow a pedestrian to cross the street, was hit by a vehicle reversing from a parking spot.
The Carlyle town sign on highway 9 north of Carlyle was knocked over as the result of an accident.
The vehicle which struck and knocked down the sign had lost control on the slick road surface.
There were no injuries, and no charges.
A single MVA north of Redvers left a vehicle on its roof, however there were no injuries and no charges have been laid in relation to the crash.
Jan. 26 call began with an investigation into the theft of a slip tank from an individual from Manor.
An investigation located the slip tank.
The owner was happy to have the property back and declined to pursue charges.
A request was received by the detachment to locate and apprehend an individual.
Assistance was rendered to Saskatoon Police, and an individual was photographed and fingerprinted at their request.
Members searched roads south of Carlyle after a call of an impaired driver drew members to investigate, however the driver proved not to be intoxicated.
A complaint was received of a person uttering threats by posting them on a social networking site.
A false alarm in Arcola drew members, however the call was cancelled before members arrived at the scene.
A two vehicle MVA near Arcola was reported, one of the vehicles was left not-driveable.
Investigations are ongoing.
Jan 27 reports began with a call concerning a stolen slip tank.
The tank had been stolen from a yard in Kisbey, and the matter continues to be investigated.
An alarm from the school in Wawota proved to be false, and it was cancelled by staff members before members arrived.
A call to a drinking establishment in Arcola led to charges against a 32-year-old woman.
The complainant reported to police that an individual who was intoxicated had broken a window at the bar.
Members found the suspect with blood on hands and arms.
Intoxicated, the suspect was taken to the hospital to get stitched, then to cells to sober up.
Charges have been laid for mischief under $5,000, resisting arrest, and intoxicated in a public place.
Members responded to the call of an intoxicated individual at a residence in the area.
The individual in question was taken to cells until sober.
